Variety of sushi and sashimi. Fair pricing. The taste was okay.
As someone who likes to make Japanese food, its difficult to know where to get traditional ingredients thats not often seen. However, Hinoki is in fact a well stocked 'pantry' offering the essentials and so much more. Its reasonably priced for overseas goods and has many things thats difficult to find in any other place.

During our 112 day lockdown in Melbs last year, the weekly sushi platter at Hinoki got me through some tough times, working almost 7 days a week. With my trip to Japan on credit, thank goodness Melbourne has some amazing authentic Japanese food to tide me over until the day comes when I can travel again. Sashimi for meeeeee
