I’m extremely disappointed in Hertz : About a year ago I was using a hire car from Hertz Geelong whilst my car was being repaired. During this time, I was unfortunately involved in an accident, in which I was not at fault. There was some minor damage to the front left side of the car, so I took the license details of the other driver. When I returned the hire car to Hertz, they asked me to fill out some paperwork about the damage and then I was made to pay $615, which I was told I would get back once the recieved the money from the driver at fault. This happened on the 4th of November 2021 and I STILL have not recieved the money that I gave them, despite contacting them multiple times via phone and email to see what is happening. I am a student, living out of home and that money is a whole month of rent for me. I strongly recommend NOT booking a hire car from Hertz because if you are involved in an accident that is not your fault, they will make you pay for it anyway. I will not be booking a car with Hertz in the future and I will do everything I can to make sure other people don’t experience what I did.
Made a last minute booking and it couldn’t have been easier. Brand new truck ready to go, picked up and out the door in a few minutes. Return process was just as fast. Great service from Brad and the team.
I booked a large van approximately 2 weeks before the pickup date only to be told on arrival at the yard the vans were all gone and my only option was to take a truck. Once I got home and opened the back it was soaked and the smell was terrible. I would have taken it back to yard but it was closed and I had to move my belongings that night. I swept it out and tried to air it, but it still stunk. I moved my belonging and even after a week they still smelt. I mentioned it to the Hertz employee who couldn't have cared less.
1 star is over generous. Picking the vehicle up the person whom served me was RUDE to say the least. When returning the vehicle I left a pair of RayBan top shelf sunny in glasses holder in roof of car. When I rang back asking for them there had been NO glasses left in the car according to them. Don't take a genius 22 figure that 1 out.
Had a Kia Sorento for 3 weeks as an insurance loaner. Jason was all over it. Super professional, friendly and efficient, ringing repairer for me when I returned the car and organising a cab. It really does show the importance that the right people make in creating a positive image for a large company. Wouldnt bother hiring a car from anywhere else in Geelong. Thanks so much Jason.
I returned the car early in the morning and was running late for work. The car was rented by insurance company so technically Hertz was supposed to get me a cab back home. The guy told I was good to go and I said I need a taxi, assuming that they're supposed to get me one, but when I got home the cab driver charged me instead! I behave nicely all along. Cleaned the car thoroughly, but the receptionist behaved like I had used thier car for free! Very unprofessional!
Good staff and great cars
If I could give 1/2 star would. My claim was lodged 4 weeks ago. The owner of Hertz called me less than 24 hrs prior to picking up a car to say there was no car. Unacceptable, didnt seem to care either.
One of the worst experiences I have ever had. Extremey unprofessional customer service, no understanding or flexibility. After being informed by my insurance provider I would need to pay a $200 bond for the rental car. When I arrived I was then asked to pay $400 bond, which I did not have. They wouldn’t allow me to take the car, I suggested they ring the insurance provider but all they could suggest to me was to go to the bank and return. I would never use there services. Very unsatisfied customer and completly humiliated.
These guys were awesome and I'm so grateful to have rented a new car for a couple of weeks. I learned that the thrill wears of in exactly that amount of time and then it's just another boring car. Top class service, really friendly and I owe them at least a cut of $29950 that I didn't have to spend on a 1995 Corolla with the Bluetooth connectivity to rival a post office Nokia.
