Despite its popularity the cafe managed to maintain a bustling yet cozy atmosphere. Had egg Benedict and corned beef, cappucino for breakfast. Corned beef was really tasty and filling. It's definitely stands out as one of the busiest cafes in town. .Food: 5/5
We had the pleasure of attending a private function booking at Heritage for a family members birthday party for about 30ppl. It was a great evening, lovely staff and service. The cafe worked really well as a function space. Lots of leaning spots, booth seating and the heated outdoor area to spread out.Food: 5/5
Great menu and cabinet selection. Good coffee. It took a while for the food to come even though the place was quiet when I visited but it was worthy the waiting. Very friendly staff.Food: 5/5

Beautiful space, plenty of staff on, and not particularly busy, but somehow still slow and poorly coordinated service. We had a party of six, and the orders of cabinet food four orders were brought over first, while the last two meals were just left sitting on the pass to go cold, and have the chef poke at and squeeze the items on the plates each time she walked past and not brought over until well after everyone else had finished their meals. Really disappointing.
Good and great service but food is very small portion compare with their price. Excellent decor and great location. Update review after 5yrs Food still expensive $23 for Egg Benedict pjoto attached, coffee is great though. Free bubble water. Staff is friendly and beautiful and modern decor.
Gorgeous Cafe we found on our last day in Dunedin. So many delicious looking things to try. The coffee was perfect, the service was amazing and the food was AMAZING. The venue is attractive and welcoming. Do yourself a favour and visit.Food: 5/5
Walked in at 3.05pm closed @ 3pm, waitress said they could still serve ;- Even sat down and enjoyed coffee and pastry till 3.20pm-NO PROBLEM. Says a lot about customer service. Thank you so much Heritage Coffee. Keep up the great work!Food: 4/5
I like what this place could offer. I was really craving a good breakfast for me and wife with a simple flat white each. Now after $58 I was expecting something amazing. One piece of toast which was fine with two poached eggs which were perfect but underdone with 3 pieces of racher bacon and one was just the rind. Then which looked lovely hollandaise was actually burnt and left a bitter horrible after taste over the whole thing. The seating was limited as it was busy - less stools and more lower seating would be nice - very hard for disabled. Won't be going back sorry - need to lift your game. Don't serve burnt bitter hollandaise, add a little greenery and pick a better cut of bacon at least. Keep the person on who does the eggs though. Coffee was very strong but I like it this way - that was good.
Our aeroe team hired the venue for a special celebration evening. The Heritage team were amazing, providing awesome food, drinks, service, and great warm atmosphere. Highly recommend Heritage Cafe!Food: 5/5
