If you like death metal, you have to eat dinner here or grab a beer here. In fact, everyone should. I’m actually not a death metal fan but came as an open minded adventurous person. This place is the real deal and THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. If this was a common jazz bar the line for the food would be wrapped around the street, and/or reservations would be booked out for months. It’s a secret gem in Paris. Now, I have to say, it is still a secret because it is a *legit* death metal bar and restaurant. If you want to blend in wear all black and maybe spend a few months growing out a thick beard. Pro tip: Grab a Shining t-shirt. It’s worth it!! Meat was tender not fatty. The meat was imported from Argentina. The dipping sauce was flawless with the slightest hint of spice not too much. The potatoes were the best, most potatoey, yellow potatoes I’ve ever had. There isn’t a near second I’m considering, I just know it was the best potatoes I’ve ever eaten in my life. The dish I ordered was called “the threesome” on the English menu. I. am. stunned. Absolutely excellent.
Excellent experience and staff, large portions, Burger ov Death to die for. Very good IPA! Cool interior, also have good deal for children and was open very late
Je ne parle pas français. We really liked this bar. We sat at the main bar and everyone working was really nice. We had some great conversations and learned a lot. We really enjoyed our drinks, got to try several others and got a few recommendations. Thanks again!
Very good Metal pub/restaurant in the middle of Paris. If you love Metal music and Steak, this is the place to come!Food: 5/5
Great place for enjoying metal music and have a nice time.Food: 5/5
Very awesome bar! Cool decoration, good music and good beer. Edit: In light of their response, perhaps we had a misunderstanding. Still leaving the original text below, and I'll add that the bar was very welcoming. Fairly certain me and my girlfriend got kicked out of the restaurant section though, so maybe not a very tourist friendly place we were obviously dressed as tourists, and we speak no French; never expected to stumble on this place. YMMV.
If you love metal, if you love a huge piece of steak... This place is a must!!! Black dog is a metal bar with a small space at the back that serve good steaks.
The place is perfect. The most friendliest staff you'll ever meet. Food is really nice and the best beer in Paris. If you're a Metal fan, you gotta visit the only 666% metal bar in Paris!
Nice little metal themed bar. Drinks were good and fair priced. Food was ok. Staff were friendly. Interior was interesting. Seating a bit uncomfortable our table was sticky but we dismissed it, it's a rough bar theme so it fit. Great wall art. Outdoor seating available. Metal music playing.
If you love to eat coke, then come here, otherwise I have to suspect that there was discrimination. I came for lunch, expecting fir tender and juicy steak, yet I got a burnt beef the 1st and 2nd picture cooked like coke. When I inquired if it was the routine way to cook steak, the waiter answered yes. He hadn’t even asked how well I want the steak to be done. I tasted a bite then, it tasted exactly like a coke, dry and with bitterness and burnt smell. I had to spit it out. The waiter then came asking:” Don’t you like it?” Excuse me?! This is not food for human! And you asked me if I liked it?! I got another overcooked stead in the 3rd photo later although I had told the cook I want it “medium rare” . The starter with different kind of sausages had no problem though. But, this is a place known for it‘s steak? Are you kidding me? If it was not an accident, i will have to suspect that there were discrimination problems to non French speakers, because I didn’t see steaks on other table having this problem. If you don’t like bad evaluation, then do the right thing.
