Incredible steaks cooked to perfection. Great complimenting sides and a luscious dessert.nnThis family run restaurant also has welcoming and friendly customer service.nnThe cocktails are generous and professionally put together.nnWe went straight for mains and the eye fillet steak with Paris mash and a mustard butter. Choosing runner beans and mixed leaves for our side dishes. Proving to be a great combination. The steak was cooked just right and the meat so tender it barely needed chewing.nnThe dessert we chose was the coconut mousse with marmalade glaze and rhubarb. A deliciously indulgent dessert that balanced sweet and tart flavours beautifully.nnThe vibe is oddly eclectic and there are some grunge remnants of a possible pub past. Ignore this and have the eye fillet, you will be delighted.
Lovely experience! The food was great, the cocktails were amazing!nn++ Toby Father and Lucky Son were really hospitable. They even recommended some spots to visit in Healesville!nnP.s.: Was not able to take the photo of the Tasmanian oysters. Ordering that is a must!
Probably one of the best restaurants in town.nnThey did a special service for father's day, with the head chef cooking I believe he's a hatted chef from his Melbourne restaurant.nnSteaks and burgers are cooked over charcoal, so are delicious and smoky. I had the eye fillet 220g which was one of the best steaks I've had in awhile.nnServes and sides are modest size, but very high quality. Even had a small kids menu, with good burgers keeping mine happy.nnThe restaurant itself is semi-underground so has a basement feel which is comfortable, ambient and well decorated. Very good service. Great choice of beers, wines, cocktails and mocktails. They also have a small outside banked seating area which would be nice for late in the day sunshine in summer.nnDefinitely would recommend for an occasion or couples night out.
What can I say, WOW!!nAmazing food, amazing drinks, amazing service, amazing ambiance. The steak was melt in the mouth and my husband's goat curry was soft and delicious. Not to be missed.
Couldn't recommend more!nThe menu is excellent, you can not go wrong with any choice. Excellent service and ambience.nCharcoal steak is a must try.nWe'll definitely be coming back.
