The lovely atmosphere and friendly hospitality made up for a slightly underwhelming dinner. The goat cheese soufflé was a great starter to share. The lamb curry was punchy and spicy, but the mouthfuls of dry lemongrass strands in the sauce left a bad mouthfeel. The lamb was soft but seemed a bit overcooked. We had high expectations as this dish was highly recommended by their staff but we can’t help but feel a little let down. The atmosphere and vibes were great, however, and we would love to return to have a drink and some snacks!
Wow! One of the best meal I have had in a long time. So many good flavors, great presentation and service. Had the oysters, leek croquettes, macadamia balls, beef filet and fantastic. Really great atmosphere laid back but chic and cosy. Staff and owners are fantastic doing an amazing job.
Char grilled duck with green papaya salad is THE BEST duck I've ever had. All the food is amazing and the staff are awesome! Worth every cent.
Incredible steaks cooked to perfection. Great complimenting sides and a luscious dessert.nnThis family run restaurant also has welcoming and friendly customer service.nnThe cocktails are generous and professionally put together.nnWe went straight for mains and the eye fillet steak with Paris mash and a mustard butter. Choosing runner beans and mixed leaves for our side dishes. Proving to be a great combination. The steak was cooked just right and the meat so tender it barely needed chewing.nnThe dessert we chose was the coconut mousse with marmalade glaze and rhubarb. A deliciously indulgent dessert that balanced sweet and tart flavours beautifully.nnThe vibe is oddly eclectic and there are some grunge remnants of a possible pub past. Ignore this and have the eye fillet, you will be delighted.
Eight of us for dinner with 4 fussy kids. Menu hit every mark. Steaks were amazing - we came to experience the best steak in Healesville and we weren’t disappointed. The amount of floor staff was impressive. Never had to wait for a thing. Drinks flowed, meals came out together and the conversation with the staff was welcoming. Great seeing the owner on the floor clearing tables, taking orders and checking in on everyone. 10/10
