Terrible. Not sure what has changed, either new owner or the old owner has made a fatal business decision. A couple of months ago it was the best big prices of fish with crispy light batter and great chips. Today it was small chewy fish with the thinest layer of soggy batter possible and a mediocre portion of average chips. I was so excited to eat there food again and it has left me disappointed. I will never go back. Only reason I would want to go back is to take a dump in the deep fryer, it could only improve the food.
So damn good youd be mad not to try em out!! Have stopped at a few spots looking for good ole delicious fish and chips, and have struggled to be honest. This spot was delicious and i mean all of it, the ocean box was reasonable value for money and was all great !!
Freshly seafood and freshly cooked. No hotbox soggy food. Crisp batter,breadcrumbs or grilled. Environmentally friendly cardboard packaging. Also local jams etc available. Great service! :-
Fish & chips made to order, no bain-marie here. Chips are big & thick & fish can be crumbed or battered. Limited trading hours.
What's happened? Used to be great, last two meals very poorly cooked, soggy batter. Such a shame it used to be so good, is there a new owner?
