Hayes Theatre Co is named after Australian musical theatre legend, Nancye Hayes AM. Honouring the vast history of Australian Musical Theatre and its practitioners.
Hayes Theatre Co is a venue located at 19 Greenknowe Avenue, Potts Point, with a focus on providing a permanent home for small-scale musical theatre and cabaret. By providing venue space to newly mounted productions Hayes Theatre Co, is a presenting partner together with independent producers and artists, as well as providing a permanent location in Sydney for New Musicals Australia and the Sydney Cabaret. Hayes Theatre Co will presents range of performances - from re-imagined classic musicals, new work from Australia and overseas, cabaret, and children’s productions - and will connect with an already established music theatre-loving audience in Sydney. This intimate venue gives audiences the opportunity to enjoy an up-close-and-personal music theatre experience

Excellent shows in a small intimate theatre. There are no bad seats. Don't come here for spectacular sets and high tech effects, you wont get them. What you will get is imaginative directors and designers making great use of a space that is not always the easiest to use. A wonderful atmosphere. I have walked out happy every time.

Fabulous vibe to this smaller Theatre. I saw "In The Heights" - not having been to a musical in years - and was blown away by the talent of the performance !! The actors - singing, dancing + the Live Band ( tucked away behind sliding scenery ) were uniform in timing, dynamics and subtlety. Got the feeling everyone in the show absolutely loved doing it - and that sheer joy rubbed off on the audience with beeming smiles as we walked out. Great stuff. - The theatre itself is smallish , but I forgot that when watching the show. The sound system is excellent also. The whole place is put together by love and enthusiasm for musical theatre - and that is shown by its supporters and participants in the of running it. If you find a show that appeals to you - go along - it will be worth it !

The View Upstairs is not to be missed. Great theatre space now under the stewardship of David and Lisa Campbell presenting musical productions and showcasing Australia’s best and brightest musicians, singers, directors, set designers, lighting experts. An intimate space seating 100 so a great up and close experience for everyone.

Outstanding intimate theatre with shows that never disappoint and showcasing exceptional Sydney talent. So proud of this little gem in the heart of Potts Point / Kings Cross. We need more of this Sydney! Let's celebrate our wonderful local artists.
