A lovely place to relax whilst seeing the sights of Port Arthur. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well maintained. Great quality breakfast included and the option for dinner is appreciated.

Quite a lovely little spot, it is essentially a BnB with the comforts of a hotel room, located on the beach front... Very pretty

As we approached the large security controlled gate at the end of a quiet road we rang the bell and Jill our Host was there on the porch to welcome us to her home.
Harpers on the Beach is a impressive BNB on the water at Whites Beach. 
Now if you are like me the BNB thing normally makes you a little nervous this place will change your mind. We followed Jill into the communal dining and lounge a large open space decorated beautifully very comfortable. She gave us a run down on everything we needed to know gave us our key to our room and went upstairs to her private quarters. 
There was about her couple staying in room 2 we had room 1 at the front of the house. The room was larger than any hotel room we had stayed in of late with a mini bar large ensuite and a small flat screen TV/DVD. The queen size bed was very comfortable and the linen luxurious. There was also a private deck with chairs and table over looking the garden and the water. The views were great and if you walked about 10 meters down the path you would be standing on the perfect beach. White sand and crystal clear water almost private beach.
We decided after coming back from dinner in town that night to enjoy the BNB experience and share a bottle of local bubbles sitting back on the comfortable old leather chairs in the lounge chatting to the guests in the next room. Who also had no idea they had booked BNB either and were pleasantly surprised like us.

And what a breakfast everything fresh and either sourced from neighbours properties or their own garden. The jams homemade and the bread cooked yesterday the smell was through the house when we arrived. Simply delicious and worth just coming for that. 
I can highly recommend Harpers on the Beach to all Couples wanting a truely relaxing, tranquil picturesque night or weekend stay in an historical part of Tasmania. It has certainly change our minds about BNB stays
