Spent two nights here, the staff were super welcoming friendly and helpful. I was able to quickly and easily book my travel to Abel Tasman, as well as a water taxi. The national park is paradise. Nice place for breakfast and coffee just next door. Highly recommend.
Nice hostel! I stayed there for 5 nights and really enjoyed it, i managed to book my excursions with Wilsons directly at their office not far from the hostel. The room that I was in was a bit small, but we were just two persons in it for my stay so it was okay. Big kitchen with everything that you need, a lot of place to sit or relax, an outdoor area too. A bit far from the grocery store or any shops but still manageable. Good place for your stay in general!
I meant to write this review earlier as I stayed 3 months ago for one month. I really enjoyed the family atmosphere that is Happy Apple. For a New Zealander that works seasonal to have somewhere that is comfortable and welcoming to everyone including locals and backpackers is something worth treasuring. I will see you again soon
Lovely stay, great atmosphere and the kindest people running this place! We forgot a pair of hiking boots in our room and Happy Apple helped us shipping them our next stay! Best class customer service!
Stayed one night at the private double room last week. Room size was okay but cleanliness is not very good. First I noticed the white towel for me yellowish and my partner pretty white then the white sheet cover mine was pretty white but when I unfold it there was a few dead insects that was being folded yellowish towel and dead insect white sheet end up the next morning I woke up and pack my stuffs as usual I flip everything before I check out and noticed one more dead insect under my pillows. Bathroom area okay, but not kitchen, especially the fridge it’s in a mess by the guests and smells a little. Overall, it’s not a bad sleep if you’re only popping by for a sleep and shower.
