I had a really nice experience - the staff were really friendly and accomodating as I wanted a custom selection of 25 chocolates for a birthday gift. The assistant who helped me was friendly and efficient and did such a great job in boxing and wrapping my selection, all while having a fun chat. And of course, the chocolates themselves are in a league of their own!
It looked like the store had been cleaned out but of course, I was able to find some perfect gifts and yummy chocs to share with the staff for afternoon tea. The dark chocolate orange frogs were a favourite

The staffs are very welcoming and are very knowledgeable of their chocolates. It was a breeze to look for the perfect chocolate gift with their help. The store may look compact, but it houses all different kinds of gourmet chocolate.

Despite the lines and general madness surrounding a chocolate shop at Easter, the staff do an absolutely outstanding job, they were very helpful in selecting their unmatched chocolates and especially the service at the desk was bubbly and infectiously friendly. The free Easter egg shard sample was a delicious bonus
I just went down to the Glenferrie Rd Haigh's Chocolates and had the most polite and knowledgable girl serve me. She talked me through all the chocolate that I asked her about and she gave me a complimentary taste. I was so impressed with how much she knew about all the chocolates and the history of the company. She was so helpful when I wanted recommendations about what to purchase and was not pushing me to purchase anything at all which was also really nice seeing as though a lot of shop keepers push customers to buy things. I am so upset I did not get her name because the company needs to know how much of a good worker she is. Thanks for a great experience :
When it comes to chocolate, Haigh's is a Melbourne institution, I remember getting their rock candies as a present when my mother took me to the doctor as a child, when I first tried their white chocolate citrus cubes and almost exploded into a ball of pure happiness, the first large mint chocolate frog I almost ate myself into a sugar coma with. Chocolates for myself or for a gift, they always have what I need at the perfect size and price and their customer service is always of a high standard.
