A good eatery for brunch, with a spacious dining area and plenty of seats. The savoury waffle was delicious, sweet waffle and a savoury fried chicken. Unfortunately, coffee was not available while I was there. This place is good for group of friends as well as kids.
The Place is clean and convenient location, the food tastes good and served hot, however portion size is small, long waiting time for food to be served on off peak times, staff was friendly and professional. Too pricey for portion size.
Food and ambience were both great! Good place to grab a drink and chill
Worst experience ever! Mum’s salad came out first, then sister’s fish and chips 10mins later, and then me and dad’s steak about half an hour later. Apparently there was an issue with the sauce because they had to ‘make it from scratch.’ When our steak finally came, our $30 steak was as thin as a piece of paper, the size of a drink coaster and as dry as the service of the waitress serving us. And the sauce that held up our meals tasted like they dropped the entire pepper shaker in the mix. Mash was yum though and the onion rings, but it would have been nice if the steak was cooked right and came out the same time as my family members’ meal so we could all eat together. My one star rating is for the fact that they took one steak off our bill to make up for it, however if I could do half a star it would be that, or maybe not even. Wouldn’t recommend this place.
Gypsy Road is by far the worst restaurant in Point Cook. We eat out a lot and always tell people about our dining experiences and when they hear about our experience at this so called restaurant I guarantee that they will not be going there. In fact we were so disappointed that we will now go out of our way to tell people how bad it actually is. We went out for a special meal for my birthday and essentially all they wanted was our money. They ran out of a lot of food and so had to re-order 3 times. I ordered a steak with chips and vegetables in the end because they ran out of chicken, believe it or not. When they brought the steak out there were no vegetables because they ran out of them too. There was only a handful of fries and the steak was well undercooked. What annoyed me more was the attitude of the staff. Their mouth smiled and pretended to care but there actions and words showed they didn't care in the slightest. I ended up eating nothing because I had to return my meal and I had to sit there without food while my family ate through their pile of crap and it was my birthday too. I refused to pay for the meal that I never had and they were surprised when I told them that we would not be returning and offered no compensation what so ever for ruining what promised to be a good evening. The only thing that the restaurant seems to be efficient at is taking the money, they were very professional as far as that was concerned and to rub salt into the wounds it was very expensive too. Sometimes all people want to do is go out and have a decent meal for a decent price at a place where the staff actually care about their customers and unfortunately for us Gypsy Road is not one of them.
The food was pretty good and the waiters were friendly. However, this is the first bar I've been to anywhere in the world with a shortage of beer. 2 of the 4 taps were out of order and they had a grand total of 8 cold beers, even though it was a good 40 min between our first and second drink orders. Inexplicably, they didn't walk across to the Dan Murphy's across the road to get a cold six pack, preferring to lose custom instead. To add insult to injury, they tried to charge us for 7 beers instead of the 4 that we actually had. The waitress acknowledged that we had only had 4 beers, but implausibly insisted that although there were 7 on the bill, the total only included 4. We only rectified this ridiculous situation by adding the individual items up on a calculator to show her that the total did in fact include the 3 extra beers. Despite the fact that the ambience is nice and the food was tolerable, we will not be going back.
I have started going to Gypsy frequently in the past two months. They do they best honey soy chicken wings, and its all you can eat chicken wings on Wednesdays. I'm also in love with there pork belly and tonight I tried there pork belly burger! What a winner!! Burger was beautiful! Staff are lovely and the environment is very pleasant.
The food and service was ok. 3 tapas options were plenty to feed 2 of us despite them recommending 5. A bit expensive but worth a try. They had changed from their summer to Autumn menu so we didn't get to eat what initially drew us there so that was disappointing.
We took the family here last weekend for lunch. The foods pretty good. We over ordered, because we were expecting tiny little portions, like most tapa's places usually do, but Jason ate any leftovers, he also had a few cocktails and beers. Next time we will order a few less dishes....and keep the drinks menu away from Jason.
There was one waitress, Ashleigh, and 30 customers. My family felt sorry for this poor girl. Because they were so understaffed, it took an hour and a half to get 7 little dishes from their “all you can eat” menu. Was told by staff the owner just didn’t bother to even show up to help. A meal that at best should have taken 45 mins stretched to 1.5 hours. We’ll never be back.
