My family had pleasure of dining at Grill Steak Seafood on my birthday, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, the cozy yet elegant ambiance immediately caught our attention especially the outside dining which actually in "Hardware Lane". The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a memorable meal. The star of the show, however, was undoubtedly the food. I love the Short Rib Beef, the oysters and mussels. Grill Steak Seafood truly lives up to its name, offering a delightful array of perfectly cooked steaks and delectable seafood options. Whether you're a steak lover or a seafood enthusiast, this place has something to satisfy every palate. The flavors were rich! What made my dining experience even more enjoyable was the impeccable service provided by Sam, our server. Sam was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure our meal was nothing short of extraordinary. Overall, I highly recommend Grill Steak Seafood to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and inviting atmosphere makes it a standout choice. And if you have the pleasure of dining there, be sure to ask for Sam. His attentiveness and expertise will surely enhance your experience even further.
I went to this restaurant specifically to try the grilled kangaroo. It was busy and the service was a bit slow, but the food was outstanding. I ordered the kangaroo, which came medium rare. It was cooked perfectly and was delicious. It came with potatoes, green beans, and some micro greens. All very good. For dessert I ordered the sticky date pudding. It was more like a cake than a pudding. It was served with toffee cream and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The flavour was excellent, even if it wasn't done in the style of a steamed pudding. The staff were pleasant, though very busy. The place could do with more servers, but those who were there were professional and courteous. I would go back here again.
I’m visiting Melbourne in the early winter, but it’s still cold for me who comes from sunny Saigon, Vietnam. The indoor tables were full booked. But I was arranged a table under a heater. It turned out an amazing experience as I could enjoy the environment around. The foods were great. New flavor for me about the oyster sauce, the beef was tender and juices. The staff were friendly and nice.
Simply Wow. The Food and staff here are absolutely Amazing. Me and Partner where going to have a meal at the Crown but after seeing the prices my partner and I decided to try somewhere else, Well im glad we did. This place is so friendly and the food was to die for. I had the Kangaroo and my partner had the pork belly. We also have to thank our waitress. She made us feel so welcome. Her service was amazing. Wished we got her name. We left her a tip. Always reward good service. We are from the country but if we was to ever come back to Melbourne we would definitely come back here again. It hard to rate the food as it was delicious but portions are too small. I dine there with two more and we left hungry. The size of the plates with the actual food in it are not make any sence specially with the prices they charge for it. I won't go back there again.
This restaurant has a great location and plenty of tables in iconic Hardware Lane. It makes good use of the laneway views and offers a range of Italian background foods as well as a hard to find in Melbourne large steak and seafood platter. The French waiter was extremely friendly and accommodating although none of the workers spoke much English. The food was of a decent size and as expected too. There were a lot of little things that marked this one down for me. Both staff seemed to be quite new and although the waiter was friendly, the girl serving drinks didn’t speak to us and broke a glass letting the waiter clean it up for her. They didn’t have oat milk for a coffee and turned off the coffee machine at 2:30pm. The chocolate milk had no sweetness to it or sugar on the table. The quality of the steak and fish seemed to be quite low, although the chef did a good job cooking. The prices were quite expensive and there was no range of beer to choose from outside of the cheapest types. The experience was good enough, but for a premium price and location restaurant, I expected a lot better.
I can’t speak highly enough of this restaurant, our recent dining experience was amazing. The staff are fantastic, we were well looked after and the quality of the meals were excellent the meals were cooked to perfection. The meat fell off the pork ribs and the rib eye was like cutting through butter absolutely mouth watering. A fantastic dining experience overall and recommend trying this establishment when in the CBD.
Not overly impressed. Both of our coffees came out at 50°. Even when one was supposed to be 100°. The barista remade one coffee and when it came back to us it still wasn't over 80°, it also wasn't strong like we had asked. Couldn't be bothered sending it back a second time. The Parma was ok. It really could have benefited from some ham. The sauce was a bit lack luster. Nothing very flavoursome. The service was great though. Both servers were very attentive and had professional mannerisms.
We had a great night, ordered stakes and chicken parma as well as pasta. Everything were great and tatst6. We also ordered desserts and tea which was really good. And the staffs were super friendlyFood: 4/5
Pros: - Tasty steak, good portion - Sticky date was more of a cake but still tasted good, flavourful combo with ice cream - Wide range of menu both food and drinks - Respectful service from the young gentleman For improvement: - The resto is obviously understaffed. After 15 mins of waiting to get my order it was not yet busy during this time, I decided to go to the counter to give my order. The staff was sincerely apologetic and I really appreciate this. I’d still go back to try other food in the menu. As for the price, theirs is typical Hardware Lane / Southgate prices…
