Went to Southern Grace Diner for Lunch today and by far the best BBQ I have ever had. The meat and three is amazing. We did to orders each with different items so that my wife and I could share and it was all amazing. The service was fantastic and Lance really knows what he is doing. My head and my stomach was at odds as because the food is so great I wanted to just keep eating but my stomach was so full. But to Solve that I am able to take home what I couldn't finish. This place is amazing and so worth it. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants real American BBQ.
Holy cow, this feed was sensational! Have wanted to visit for a long time and the wait was worth it. Ordered a big spread including brisket, pulled/chopped pork, Turkey breast and fried chicken. All the meats were amazing, as we're the sides. Don't go past the mac and cheese or pimento cheese dip! Wow. Will be back in the future for sure. Lance and all the crew were super friendly and helpful.
I’m really pleased about the new look. My kids didn’t like the sweet spicy meat from @bigboybbq but we can all enjoy the new Texas style meats at @southergracediner. The brisket was spot-on. The rest of the meat was good and the fixins were guzzled. Welcome back guys! Update: The team has honed their skills over the last couple of years and the food, especially the brisket, is just amazing. I’ve eaten brisket in 100 different places and this brisket is up there with the best of Austin Texas. I’m now a regular.
I’ve been to a lot of low and slow BBQ restaurants in Victoria - and this up there with the very best. Brisket is exactly what you want - amazing bark, tender, juicy umami goodness. Just perfectly cooked by Lance and the crew. Even got to try a brisket Philly cheesesteak. Amazing. Coleslaw needs a special mention as well. Has some Sauerkraut undertones in a good way. Super complimentary to the meats. Oh and the sauces. They should bottle them! Ha! If I was on death row and I got to choose a last meal… this would be top of the list! Oh and a pizza lol. Parking: Not too bad on side street
Fantastic concept of Meat and Three, great range of meat and collection of sides. Ordered 1 of everything on the menu for a Father's Day Feast, didn't disappoint. Slow cooked meats that were sublime with a couple of stand out sides of Corn Pudding and Pottliker.
Best BBQ in Melbourne. Very friendly service. Very good portion sizes. Good value for money. A must stop on the Melbourne food scene.
Moderately almost average food! Either people don’t know what bbq means or it was just my bad luck. The staff don’t look like they care although the service was very quick. I did not like the quality of meat, just was super dry which indicates the meat was definitely not fresh. The burger that I tried was a bit confusing, incorrectly constructed, messy and dry. The wings were just bad, not worth commenting and you can see from the photo. Won’t be going back there and was a waste of my time and money given the hype I’ve heard. 2 stars for the price, and service.
I’ve eaten plenty of American BBQ and for sure this is some of the best on offer, Brisket is always on point and sides are great especially the Slaw its the best!
The ribs where fine, no real smoky bbq flavour or tenderness, however the onion rings were delicious and the sauces to put on the meat. Will have to come back and try the burgers as apparently this is what they do best.
Best BBQ restaurant in Melbourne hands down!. Everything we ate was perfect from the meat brisket, ribs and turkey, to the sides beef chilli, cornbread and loaded fries and the delicious peanut butter pie. I couldn't recommend this place more highly. The sauces are also really good and I would definitely recommend taking a few home.
