My parents have been at Greenview for over 6 years and sadly mum passed away early this year. I can't thank the staff enough for their care and support during a difficult time for our family. There is a new Care Manager at Greenview and since her appointment I have noticed a remarkable change in the whole operation at this facility. The nursing staff are accountable and have regularly kept us informed of how things are progressing with my dad's care since my mums passing. Infact because of the proactive responsiveness of the new Care Manager Raj, dad was admitted to hospital just in time before he developed more serious symptoms. He is now back at Greenview and improving very well.nI think because of the new management and accountability shown by all staff I would highly recommend this facility.nI have read some of the negative feedback but this has not been my experience especially more recently with the new Care Manager.nI am so grateful to have a facility of this standard so close to my home.nThank you to all the wonderful staff at Greenview who help make our regular visits to see Dad a pleasure.
This facility is home for my Nonna Elda, I have visited her several times over the past 18 months and the staff are always caring and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome.nnMy Nonna speaks highly of this facility and after leaving a different facility about a 2 years ago, she wouldn't want to go anywhere else. She absolutely loves it here.nnAlso, a special mention to Kylie, she is an angel. My Nonna absolutely adores her and safe to say Kylie definitely always brings happiness into this facility. Thank you so much, Paolo
I took my mum to look at Greenview. The interview was conducted solely by the Manager and my mum was deemed a good fit.nnFive weeks after admission, my mum was no longer deemed suitable for a number of reasons. Firstly, I don’t dispute these reasons.nWhat I do dispute is the manner in which residents are admitted without adequate screening, requiring families to go through the trauma of relocation.nnGreenview admits residents without any clinical assessment and uses the ensuing weeks of placement to determine their suitability. At the exit interview I was told this is a common strategy there, but clearly not industry wide as I have found.nnWhen admittance and resident suitability is left to a non-clinician, the risk of unsuitability is higher. Accepting every applicant may suit the property to have rooms constantly occupied and revenue flowing, but is not a compassionate or dignified way to treat older people or their families.nnToday’s relocation was stressful and my mum was scared and confused by the sudden change in environment. It could all have been avoided with proper clinical screening at the start.nnThe whole philosophy of ‘ageing in place’ does not exist at Greenview because they only accommodate a narrow cohort of people that fit their resident profile. And the term ‘security of tenure’ is treated lightly.nnAs I was told at the exit interview, even a long-term resident has no security of tenure if they deteriorate. The family would be encouraged to relocate the resident, because Greenview does not have sufficient or qualified staff to meet the demands of residents requiring more time.nnThe balance between keeping rooms filled and proper clinical screening has not been achieved in my experience.
Would not recommend this facility. Care staff are not consistent in daily procedures. Such a lack of basic care needs and when staff are asked questions… no one seems to know anything. Have expressed my concerns repeatedly but go unheard. Every visit I need to call a cleaner as toilet and room are disgusting. Just take photos each time and bash my head against a brick wall.nStaff are not trained to manage dementia with any understanding or compassion.nAvoid at all cost
Such a wonderful facility, as a student nurse i was allocated here for my placement for a few weeks and my experience here has been incredible.nnI had the luck and opportunity to work with a bunch of great individuals who have taught me and guided me throughout my whole duration of 2 week's.nnThank you to the most incredible RN Marian who looked aftered me throughout my time here and even teaching me while juggling work & being under the pump. To also finding the time to provide practical, clinical demonstrations, and lessons for me. nnThank you to the pca and buddy staff for teaching me and for making me feel welcomed. Best staff I need to mention: thank you : Leslie, Analyn, Sandy, Laxman, Hussan, Anish, Irene, & Emily . Also big thank you to An for the big help throughout my time here , you have been awesome lifestyle and thanks to the FSA staff , Shaq, Eva you guys are the best.nnDefinitely recommend this facility, having work there and getting to know the staff, I can say honestly say this place is the best. If i can give 6 stars I would!nnStudent Nurse
