Actual medical staff are great but not at all suprised to see multiple complaints about the glorified gate guards at the front desk.nnDidnt realize they were also qualified to provide unsolicited advice on my life and when i should make appointments. I sympathize that there is a shortage on doctors in nz however telling me im basically SOL is not appreciated. And in previous instances at the old building, loudly and condescendingly asking me my personal details such as address and occupation in the reception area in front of other patients. Did they all get that treatment as well or was it just for me? To their credit, the one i spoke with did end up helping me get my medication but it would have been far more appreciated without the condescending tone.nnWill be switching practices ASAP. To reiterate, absolutely no issues with the doctors, nurses, and pharmacists.
Had a doctor's appointment yesterday on the 11th April 2024 and reported to reception on arrival. After waiting an hour I went back to reception and asked if I was going to be seen today. Receptionist that I reported to on arrival then asked me if I had reported earlier on arrival, which I said that I had and the time that I had arrived before my appointment time. She left the reception desk for about 5 minutes to find out what was going on and came back and said that it would be about another 10 minutes and asked if was I willing to wait, which I said I would. After waiting 20 minutes I asked whether it would be much longer that I would have to wait and was told that the doctor still had a patient and it shouldn't be much longer. My 10 minute wait ended up being 45 minutes, so I ended up waiting 1 hour 45 minutes in total. I did get an apology but feel that being told by the receptionist that I reported to initially, that I shouldn't have left it that long to let her know that I waiting, wasn't particularly helpful and didn't change the waiting situation and it really isn't good enough!nnIf I could give zero star's to Saddleview Health Centre I would.nThree months after I posted my original review in April, I left a message on the prescription line for a repeat on my prescriptions.nTo my shock and horror they obviously hadn't listened to my instructions and sent the prescriptions to another pharmacy, where I would've had to pay prescription charges.nI informed the Practice Manager of this error by email and asked for my prescriptions to be sent to the correct pharmacy, as I wasn't going to pay to pick them up.nI wasn't impressed to receive a phone call from the correct pharmacy later the same day, telling me that they couldn't fill my script's because they had already been filled at a different pharmacy, and that I would have to contact them to cancel them, so that they could fill them for me.nNot only did Saddleview Health Centre staff send my prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy, they also neglected to inform the wrong pharmacy of the error that THEY HAD MADE and cancel the prescriptions, so that the correct pharmacy could fill them.nIt shouldn't have to be up to the patients to fix their cock ups for them.nNeedless to say, I am totally fed up with the incompetence of Saddleview Health Centre, so won't be going back and will be enrolling at another Medical Practice.
Kristen Bright is one of the most competent and capable registered nurses I have ever met. She has an incredible mind met with an equally caring personality. She is worth far far more than a visit here costs and I would reccomend to anybody looking for help in the medical world.
I'd recently swapped to broadway due to bad experiences here in the past through both myself and my family. I was supposed to have one last appointment here to renew my perscription for my insulin which my life literally depends on, unfortunately I couldnt even have one pleasant experience here, upon arrival I was told I suddenly cant have my appointment here anymore because I was swapping, and was told broadway would be able to do it, however they couldnt as my records from saddle view had not been transferred to them yet. I've had to contact my diabetes contact at the hospital to get a perscription now and had to purchase test strips myself for the low cost of $27 for 50.
Had an appt today and was running late I rang Reception to inform them and they were very accommodating in waiting for me. Great service from Karen and Jan and a pleasant Consultion with the amazing Practise Nurse Kristen Meek....Thanks team!
