By far one of the greatest hotels I've stayed at in a long time. Usually spend 1 week at the Gold Coast but this year decided to spend the week up at the Grand Palais and it was by far one of the best week, we as a family had in a long time. Got to know the managers and they are truely wonderful people, they would have a nice chat too us, too and from the beach. Would highly recommend for families.

Unfortunately was put in disabled unit which I thought should have been kept aside for someone in need of it.  Passers by could view straight into unit and our view was of a concrete wall.  Was very disappointed as was looking forward to sitting on the balcony.  I would recommend if you stay here to ask for a room above the ground floor.  Why should we have to ask to be moved from the disabled room...why use it unless it is requested?!

We had a wonderful holiday and will definitely stay at Grand Palais again. Apartment was lovely and the spa was great. View from the balcony was beautiful. We enjoyed all our meals on the balcony in the sunshine, just watching the happenings at the beach. Pool was lovely, a very warm 30 degrees. Clubs at Alexandra Headlands and Mooloolaba Surf Club have great meals, and the live bands were great fun. I even won the meat tray!  Management was excellent. We will be back.

Air conditioning massive fail in room 47 we spent 3 nights there, nights 2 and 3 were unbearable, i couldn't wait to leave, day 2 we went to reception to advise of the room temperature sitting at 28.9 degrees during the night, we were advised that the air conditioning company were coming out to fix the problem asap, this is why i was going to stay for the 3rd night which we had already paid in full for. Night 3 was the same as night two the room temperature was 28.6 degrees and I was lucky if i got to sleep more than 2 hours the heat was unbearable and if you opened the windows and doors the sound of the cars would keep me awake, it was the middle of summer and northerly winds which makes it  a double dose of hot and humid, on a positive note the location is across the street from the beach.

Great location. Very good facilities. Pleasant and helpful staff. A great base for a long stay.
