We were staying for the weekend and had a lovely time. We really enjoyed the chocolate hour and the fantastic swimming pool and sauna. The rooms were very comfortable. The lift up from the street is really helpful! The staff were lovely and asked our neighbours in the interconnecting room to be quiet on our behalf. As they were chatting v loudly at midnight! Breakfast was packed with guests and the coffee machine didn't work, bit chaotic. However it was a tasty breakfast. It is a fun hotel and good value for money in Wellington.
The staff were so helpful and organized an upgrade that we weren't able to get online. Throughout our stay the service was outstanding from all the staff. They were all so lovely and professional. They made us feel so special.nThe hotel is beautiful with lovely decor. Our room was really nice with a lovely view out over the city.nAnd of course there is the chocolate hour!nA few tips. It is worth paying a little bit more to get a room with a view.nWhere the hotel is is a bit isolated with no shops or restaurants nearby. It is worth paying to have your car parked there. We enjoyed just staying and eating at the hotel and only left once during our stay.nThe only low point was the bathroom door. Because it slid outside the door opening, there were huge gaps so you could hear everything!
The hotel itself is very modern and clean. All of the staff are so welcoming and helpful. The valet parking is easy to use and quick. It is a nice touch with the chocolates and cookies in the front reception, along with the chocolate hour. The room was very comfortable and a good size. The beds are comfortable and nice pillows. The bathroom is clean and well presented. I had a room with a shared door which I think affected the sound in the room as could hear the person next door and their tv. The location is in a good central area for shopping, however, it is a very cramped road but that seems to be an issue across the city really with tight roads.
We Absolutely loved this hotel! The location is amazing, everything was super clean, and the facilities had more than we expected. Breakfast was delicious!! Perfect spot for families. The staff were so friendly and made us feel really welcome!nThe chocolate hour was fun, and my daughter had free ice cream she loved it!! The treats they have in the lobby were yummy!!n100% recommend!!
I truly enjoyed the experience at Mövenpick Hotel Wellington. The room was stylish yet cozy, with everything I needed readily available. The location was perfect -- right in between the vibrant city central and the quieter hillside suburbs. I especially enjoyed the Chocolate Hour -- what a treat for the guests! I used the sauna and swimming pool too, which were both maintained at immaculate condition. The spread of breakfast buffet and dinner menu options were great too, and you got to enjoy your meals with fantastic views from the restaurant!
