Enjoyed a week at the Movenpick Wellington. Location is great with the main shopping area, restaurants and attractions nearby. It is at the top of a hill and whilst there is a lift which allows you to avoid the steepest part of the hill if mobility is an issue be aware of this. The room was clean and comfortable but smaller than expected with limited wardrobe and storage space which was disappointing.nRestaurant service was good at breakfast and we enjoyed the dinner we had one evening. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the hotel.
A pleasant stay.nnWe had a deluxe room on the top floor. The bed was comfortable and the room cosy but with enough space to spread out a little.nnWhile we stayed it was not too busy so no waiting for lifts and breakfast was never too busy.nnA decent buffet with mostly western options and a few items like omelet and pancakes/waffles that could be order from the kitchen.nnChocolate hour in the afternoon was pretty good.nnWe would stay again.
Was greeted without a smile by the reception staff. Language could have been a barrier, but would have thought an establishment like Mövenpick could have employed someone with great communication skills, and a proper command of the English language she sounded French?.nnWe stayed on the 7th floor, the room was tiny, but comfortable. Bathroom was also tiny, and your shoulders would almost touch either side of the shower glass or wall. There was a constant pumping/vibration sound which went on all day and night.nnBreakfast was buffet style in the restaurant, the selection was adequate, and could do with better tasting sausages. The plates unfortunately were dirty, with leftover scraps on two I picked up, and had to choose them carefully.nnThe night manager however, was a pleasure to deal with, ensuring our car was fully charged for our drive home the next day. Thank you so much for your initiative!nnOverall, not bad, but not great. Good enough for a tired traveller to sleep at and move on with their travels.nnWas also told my receipt would be emailed to me, I’m still waiting 3 days on..
We stayed one night and were happy with the staff who were lovely and the room itself was clean and well appointed. I had asked for a garden view when I booked but it didn't eventuate.nThe valet service was great and the facilities, especially the pool were good.nWe were given a lovely dessert for our wedding anniversary which was a nice touch and appreciated.nI enjoyed my swim, though some may find it a little cool at first.nI was disappointed in the chocolate hour which didn't really have much going for it and there was little chocolate. I had high expectations after seeing photos online but it didn't match the hype. This was sad as it was one of the main reasons we chose to stay at Movenpick.nI also found the buffet breakfast not very enjoyable and suggest you ordered a single plate instead.nOverall we had a good stay but unfortunately aren't likely to stay again.
Room was clean and tidy. On the small side but well laid out. No balcony, no hair dryer, noisey room on the 8th floor. Chocolate hour is cool to try once. Used their valet parking for $40 a night. Found that they had parked so close to wall, had to squeeze into the driver size. Saw they had put noticeable dents in the door. Wouldn’t recommend their parking service. Will try another place next time
