Stayed 3 nights. The bed was great, and the room reasonably furnished with a desk and good wifi. Breakfast was god with a good selection and made to order eggs, waffles or pancakes. There's a small but well equipped gym and a 17m lap pool.nnStaff are very helpful and friendly.nnOn the downside is its location on the Terrace puts it 1km uphill from pretty much everything. Its quite a hike to the Cuba mall or Courtney place eateries and the hotel restaurant selection is limited and expensive.nnIts geared for tour groups and according to the staff small conference groups.
We were staying for the weekend and had a lovely time. We really enjoyed the chocolate hour and the fantastic swimming pool and sauna. The rooms were very comfortable. The lift up from the street is really helpful! The staff were lovely and asked our neighbours in the interconnecting room to be quiet on our behalf. As they were chatting v loudly at midnight! Breakfast was packed with guests and the coffee machine didn't work, bit chaotic. However it was a tasty breakfast. It is a fun hotel and good value for money in Wellington.
Our first stay at a Movenpick Hotel and it was great! We loved the scent in the foyer and common areas - it really sets the scene for a luxury stay. Customer service was great too and our upgrade to the Family Suite was much appreciated. We felt spoiled by the welcome cheese and crackers, and the room was beyond our expectations. The hotel overall was a surprise - one of the best we have stayed in actually and we have done a lot of travel. We used the gym, swam in the pool and even had a sauna. The lift down to street level meant that walking into town was easy, adding to the overall experience. Our room service burger was hot and delicious, we enjoyed the caramel slice at one of the chocolate hours, and prices at the bar were good. I highly recommend this property.
Beautiful rooms and facilities. Helpful staff, both front desk and room service. There is a handy VIP elevator around back making it easier to access if you're walking to/from the city as well as parking. Would been nice if they had cutlery in room for if you're bringing food back, or had it on the list of amenities you can order to your room. The breakfast was fantastic and a lovely restaurant.
A lovely hotel- clean and modern. From the foyer where we were greated with small treats that continued in the room the ambiance was so positive. The staff were super helpful. Nothing seemed to be a bother. Chocolate hour was rather fun- and free. Pool was great. Breakfast had a great selection.
