We as a family have moved interstate multiple times using another removalist company. A few years ago we decided to give grace removalist a go as there pricing matched the other company and we were curious about the service difference. Long story short - they miscalculated our content size despite having someone come to the home to quote and I was required to make a decision on the spot to either pay extra for another vehicle to come and collect the remaining furniture or leave it behind. The removalist they hired on the pick up end seemed inexperienced and had put a large hole in our rentals wall when removing items. They never told me about this! And it was only after I had done a walk through of the home that I brought it up with them. Their response was to contact grace removals directly which I did on multiple occasions! NOTHING was actioned on their end. This was so stressful. We ended up arranging the hole to be fixed ourselves so that it would not effect our bond. A few weeks after we had arrived in our new home I received a follow up call from grace. I laid it all out for them and they had no idea about the incidences mentioned above. The companies communication lines are shocking in my opinion. Once you sign up for their service it is almost like their job of effective communication is done. During the follow up surveys, they did offer to compensate me $100 for the hole in the wall which I accepted in order to try and recoup some of the additional costs to us during this ordeal. The company is aware due to the follow up surveys that we have made the decision to never use this company again for our future moves, and I would not recommend them to others due to their lack of communication, unprofessional behaviour particularly when an incident occurs, and ultimately their lack of responsibility to the customer once the journey has begun.
I have moved many times with Grace they all were fabulous then I referred my sisters sister in law to Grace Adelaide and it was a disaster from furniture all scratched and items missing I feel I have let them down but the worst thing is no return phone calls very very disappointed and not happy
Wow! Hasn’t Grace removals gone downhill this past 12 months. Just look at the reviews this past 12 months!!!!! I have lodged complaint after complaint and not one person has got back to me in the agreed verbal timeframe. Company very eager to take your cash but go missing when called out for shambolic practice. Despite staff saying clothing is packed with great care and will be transported on a rail clothing is ruined and now having to privately pay $800 for dry cleaning. Worst part is the company don’t care!!!! Avoid like the plague
I recently used Grace Removals for my move to Singapore. My table arrived with one broken leg. Prior to that, Grace Removals advised that I let them pack at extra cost so if anything went wrong I would be compensated. I believe part of what caused the damage is their failure to unscrew the legs before shipment, despite me reminding them to do so I should also stress that I used Grace Removals for interstate moving less than a year ago and the legs were unscrewed from the same table before delivery. Instead, the whole table was wrapped in thin sheets of styrofoam-like material, and transported. The table has been rendered useless. I have since contacted the company, which responded with: “After checking the file, I found that your shipment is not insured by Grace. May I suggest that you approach to your insurance company for the compensation”, and “We handled your shipment with due care. I suggest you approach your insurance company to further process your claim request.” The responses from Grace Removals I got were in spite of their own T&Cs which state that if the goods were damaged due to defective or inadequate packing/failure to exercise due care and skill, Grace Removals would be liable for the full amount of loss/damage. I am posting here as an alternative avenue to reach out to the company, since I’ve been getting rubbish email responses thus far. If the matter can’t be settled with the company directly I will have no choice but to pursue the matter legally.
We used Grace to move from Sydney to Adelaide. Communication wasn't great regarding delivery date and unfortunately Grace damaged a painting puncture hole through it, scratch our coffee table, and a pair of room lamps. Tried to claim on insurance but the insurance only offered us 25% of the replacement cost of the items. All of these items were packed by Grace not by us. In addition they chipped the edge of our kitchen table and broke the handle off our step ladder. For the drop of service the team turned up with no tools and didn't even put our bed back together.
Our experience with Grace was fantastic. A long distance move interstate from Adelaide to Brisbane made some much smoother by the fantastic service we received from Grace. Quoting, notifying of pick up/drop off times, and follow up calls. All super professional and friendly. And the right price. Thank you Grace Removals, I highly recommend.
ADELAIDE GRACE BROTHERS REMOVALS STAY FAR AWAY! We moved away from Adelaide over 18 months ago. Everything including items from drawers, jewellery, very extensive 50 year old crystal drinking glasses, expensive dishes etc etc etc etc etc etc etc NO PAPER WRAP WAS USED FOR PROTECTION FOR MANY ITEMS AND WERE JUST DUMPED INTO BOXES! Expensive drinking glasses were not wrapped. A number of breakages including some furniture too To deal with these people was highly stressful and rude once we signed the contracts. Costs kept changing which added to the stress. Don't get me started on one particular removalist man who lacked interest and had zero personality and plain RUDE RUDE RUDE! I'd give Adelaide Grace Brothers Removals TRIPLE 0 STARS if there was an option!!
I left a review just about 3 weeks ago about my broken table leg, to which Grace Removals commented asking me to contact customer service as they would “like the opportunity to fix this situation”. Well, it’s been 3 weeks with 2 emails from me following up and I still have not heard back from them. I still haven’t received compensation for the table that’s been badly damaged since the move. I work full time and late nights and haven’t had time to even get a replacement table. I will be lodging a claim with ACCC.
The sales team were very helpful. The goods traveled from Adelaide to Brisbane. All of the furniture was completely wrapped and nil breakages on finer items. The staff delivering the goods were very careful unloading and polite and obliging. I thoroughly recommend them and would use again
We have used Grace Brothers several times for packing, removal and storage. We have always been extremely happy with their service. They are prompt, reliable and take great care with all items. We have not had any damages or breakages. All staff are very easy to deal with, are pleasant and take obvious pride in doing the job right.
