Story

Our campground is the perfect location for rest and recreation, a weekend getaway, hiking or bird watching. Why not enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of our facility and perhaps indulge in some bushwalking in the nearby National park.

Located on the Darling Downs and situated on the banks of Dalrymple Creek, Goomburra Valley Campground has flat, grassed, shady areas for you to camp in peace. We have powered campsites available, most with a fireplace, we also have a bunkhouse for the less adventurous. Well behaved pets are welcome to come along with prior arrangement.

Everyone has had a “bad “ camping experience so we pride ourselves on being a family friendly campground with no rowdies or all night parties. Yes, we have rules but these are so everyone can enjoy the same thing... a quiet getaway where the kids can have fun and parents can enjoy the downtime.

Only 2 hours from Brisbane, and an hour from Toowoomba, Goomburra Valley Campground is one of the most picturesque spots for bush camping in Southeast Queensland.

Do yourself a favour: Keep driving and find a friendlier campground. I really do think the owners try, but they just don't understand how to balance good management with a relaxed, happy feel and good people skills. Everything is over-controlled, over-regulated, unfriendly dictatorial signs abound and I felt like I couldn't breathe, despite the beautiful surrounds. Booked for 5 nights initially; left after 1. Am eternally thankful for making the effort to pack up and leave early as I had a wonderful experience in a campground nearby.

From the check in to the personal escort to your camping spot,we found it relaxing to be there with Debby and Andrew . The showers and bathroom facilities were clean and functioning properly. The grounds were well maintained. We have camped there with our friends many times in the past year. Recommend this facility and plan to go again.

Have stayed at the Goomburra Valley Campground almost every year since 2010 with our latest stay this week. What a great place to stay! Everything you need for a campsite is there including good facilities, fire places, great outlook over the creek and well grassed campsites. There is usually a mob of us and on our most recent stay we had 18 in the group at its peak ranging in age from 6 to mid sixties. All of us had a really enjoyable stay. We thank Debbie and Andy for their friendliness and the standard of their facilities.

well this is the must place to stay ,had a ball so great showers are hot and so big we had a great 5 days and we never had a worry with Andy and Deb ,unreal place so much room to just have a great time went swiming water so clear this is the place for my family and we will be back well done to u ANDY and Deb .to all the people that have a bad word to say about this place im happy u stay away dont need to to come here ,.we didnt see Andy and Deb o sorry 1 time when she come down to see if we were ok after we had a bad storm LOVE THIS PLACE AND WILL WE BACK GREAT JOB ON A GREAT CAMP SITE
