I live here and I love it, we've got beautiful Goolwa Beach, the mighty Murray River and the magnificent Coorong for you to explore,come and check Goolwa out, you'll love it too.
It a great historic railway run by volunteers. The only disappointment this time was being pulled by a diesel instead of steam but as the guard explained in winter when passenger numbers are down steam is too costly. The advantage was we had the carriage almost to ourselves a window seat each, for the fabulous coast scenery.
Great historic town to visit. Check out the wharf area.
Interesting Historical South Australian town with many Tourists attractions to enjoy including The Cockle Train and Paddle Boats from a bygone era. Access to Hindmarsh Island via a bridge from Goolwa along with four wheel drive access to the amazing surf beach to the River Murray mouth
