Typical gym with a big shed full of shiny exercise equipment, for which they charge you a bucket load to access... and then if you actually want to learn how to use the shiny exercise equipment, you will then need to pay exorbitant fees to a trainer, who has to charge you high fees because the gym is charging him exorbitant fees.nnAnd then, there is the 'service'. The only time I heard about/ experienced the stated 'we value our clients' service was when I cancelled my membership and gave them a zero rating in the exit survey.nnAn unnamed person contacted me asking 'why'. I told him and did not get any response.nnThen, after I cancelled, I was billed again and had to phone Goodlife to get a refund.nnIn short, if you like big sheds full of shiny exercise equipment and are okay with paying high fees for trainers, then go for it.nnIn my experience, it's all about how much money they can get out of you. It has little to do with the so-called 'service'.
I had a trainer session for a body analysis, and little was done. The BMI/body fat meaurement was above expected, after he tried a few times, and said he would contact the vendor. I did leave, but then went back as I realised in this picture total lean body mass, muscular imbalances, arm & leg measurements and a nutritional analysis is mentioned, though were not done. I mentioned it at the front desk but haven't head back.nA complete waste of money.
Signed up to a 3 month membership in person.nWas not told at all it would be on going. I even told him I’m moving after 3 months so wouldn’t be extendingnnHave been getting charged even though I haven’t been in 3+ months and called twice to get it fixed. First guy said my membership is on hold so I don’t get charged anymore. Got charged again. Called back and second girl who was useless said she cancelled it still got charged both people told me a manager would call me back.nnNo one called back both times. Then I get charged again. 3rd time said she can only refund me two weeks.nnGoodlife are basically scamming people with this 3 month membership to “come back” and hope people don’t figure it out.nnIf I don’t get a full refund I will be going to the ombudsmen!
Great gym with friendly staff. Some of the equipment needs a bit of an upgrade, but it is all laid out well and makes for a good workout :
Nice staff, unfortunately gym is constantly disgustingly dirty. Cleaners do not do their jobs at all. Boxing room in particular is disgusting, I would be surprised if it is cleaned once a month. Constantly dust and dirt everywhere, screws on the ground and falling apart bags and equipment. The rubber flooring is covered in holes, whole room is in urgent need of an upgrade. Toilets are disgusting, visible black mold everywhere and improper ventilation. For a gym in a nice area with a high membership cost one would expect that the facilities and environment this. Management should look at their neighbouring gym at mitcham and take notes
