Good Luck Pinbone is a resto for foodies in the know. Hand painted walls in a reclaimed traditional Australian Chinese restaurant this spot now pumps out excellent Asian food. With a hint of Chinese the menu can't be classified as such. The eggplant omelette is a combo I would never consider but the juicy salty eggplant keeps this whole number moist. Fried chilli chicken is some of the best in town. A whole bird , chopped and piled on the plate is crisp and salty with a mount of chilli more for display than heat. The furiaki steak is soft and tender smothered in a spring onion sauce that is delicious. Another outstanding dish is the pipies, lightly spiced in a rich kombu butter. It is probably irrelevant to list the dishes as the the menu frequently changes. Just believe me everything here is delicious plus I love the low key atmos and that this resto is BYO, we always take excellent wine and saves big time on the bill. Last time we dined food was $50 per head which makes Goodluck Pinbone the best value excellent food in town 9.5/10
Nice interesting collection of food with reasonable pricing.
Laid back but nice atmosphere and decor, food was great. We were happy with every dish we ordered. Loved the pipis - what has the potential to be a bland dish was amazing. Added bonus to find that the house-made sodas were really nice - not too sweet at all.
Exceptionally talented people in the kitchen. It's Chinese but not the one you know. Order at least half the menu, you'll see what I mean. If you are full there is always takeaway it is Chinese after all. Also service staff are fast, cool, fun and an absolute riot.
Fabulous food and nice laid back staff who were professional at the same time. The steak is a must. Pork rilettes, the green fig dish and fried rice were great. We just needed something green to cut all the richness and a little more light and it would have been 5 star
these guys were amazing. Excellent service and a flair for creative yet satisfying and delicious food; we paid $65pp + drinks for the chefs selection, which was a marathon of food we could barely finish. Some dishes missed the mark but definitely try the mussels, carrot & marrow and pork & pineapple. Feel like it might be a bit pricey for those who want just a moderate meal.
Had the chef's selection and it was absolutely delicious. Very creative taste combinations that worked really well. Service was excellent
I've been here 3 times now... twice for the amazing brunch - the bacon, maple and pumpkin tart is a must-have! and once for the chef's selection dinner menu to sample the variety they have on offer. The food is consistently fantastic and plentiful even though we ordered the small size, it was A LOT of food. Although the menu looks simple and isn't very descriptive, there are definitely some unusual combinations which work very well.
Such original, fresh, and exquisite food. New taste sensations. Simple style. A great focus on the food. Service was friendly and efficient
Amazing food! had the spatchcock, eggplant & cuttlefish and all were so delicious. Friendly service and BYO big tick
