Absolutely superb supplier for domestic chickens. We bought our first pair of chickens, and they provided excellent advice on breed and how to get started in terms of handling and care. Their advice on consumables and feeding was clear, and they didn't try and sell us any more than we needed. The birds have been healthy and laid fantastically. We asked a couple of questions over a year after we bought them on how to treat a minor injury, and they were immediately responsive, being generous in time to give detailed advice reflecting what felt like a genuine care and support for poultry keepers, however few birds you have. We would return without hesitation to purchase from Cotswold again, I think even if we had moved much further away.
This was our preferred place to purchase new pullets increase our flock, as we've used them previously a few years ago. A super range of hybrids to choose from. The establishment is well organised and stocked. We are delighted with our new girls, Amber Lee, Cotswold Jasmine and Cotswold Sussex all doing well in their new home.
Friendly & knowledgeable. We did the intro course here and are now buying everything we need with their advice. A really helpful end to end service if you're looking to keep chickens. Highly recommended.
I can’t recommend Cotswold Chickens highly enough. From choosing my hens with Wendy, to Anthony building the coop, run and setting everything up, it has been an entirely joyful experience. The service doesn’t end when you have your chickens. Both Anthony and Wendy have gone above and beyond to ensure my set up works for me and to help with any queries. I have also used their holiday boarding service where my chickens got 5* accommodation, including being regularly spritzed in the high temperatures of summer 2022! So, so happy with my fab 5 bantams and their beautiful home.
Easy to find, great stock of chickens and supplies. Long way to go but worth the time and distance. Fantastic staff, Wendy is an absolute joy to deal with.
Excellent service, with a wealth of knowledge. Everything I wanted for my chickens they could supply, from a hand made bespoke chicken house, to all the feed and equipment I might need to keep my hens healthy. Highly recommend. For the second year running I've been back for my Christmas tree. The range is fantastic, and I ended up picking a lovely Norseman fir, and this year the range of wreaths were excellent and very stylish, amongst all the other accessories. All in all I'm all set for the festive season.
We collected 3 chickens a week ago. We attended the course Cotswold Chickens offer pre-lockdown, back in March, which was invaluable as we're new to chickens. We couldn't be happier with these beauts, and Cotswold Chickens have given us confidence and reassurance. Thoroughly recommended.
Delighted with my hens that I bought from Cotswold Chickens! They are all so tame. Getting some colourful eggs every day even in the Winter. The owners are very helpful and knowledgeable, the aftercare is just amazing. This is THE place to buy your hens. I'll certainly be going nowhere else in the future!

Great service and after service. More expensive than your run of the mill chicken supplier, but definitely worth it, especially if you are a novice.
