I totally love being a decades old local Scarborough guy.. I love the way the place is shaping into something awesome around me. I’m a foodie and a coffee nazi. Coffee on the go from Brighton Food is just perfect… and consistent… everyday it’s the coffee you actually wanted… that’s rare… I’m also boring, every day I get their super salad fresh made sandwiches. Every day, boring I know but it’s delicious. Well done guys for putting in the effort for quality food and coffee and produce… legends ..
They used to sell non-pasteurized, non-homogenized milk. It's pretty uncommon to come across real milk like that, even in organic supermarkets. I'm not sure if they still offer it nowadays.nnThey also had fresh, cold-pressed orange juice for sale.
I visited the Food Market today and was shocked by how poorly I was treated. I entered with my dog and politely asked if we could come in. Instead of a reasonable response, an employee rudely waved us off, making a dismissive hand gesture as if my dog was diseased.nnThis level of disrespect is unacceptable. It’s one thing to enforce rules, but it’s another to treat customers—and their pets—with such rudeness. Horrible communication and professionalism from a business that serves the public.nnIf pets are not allowed, that’s fine—but it should be handled with kindness, not condescension.nnI was holding my sausage dog and left the place embarrassed as if I had committed a crime.
Bring back Con!! Came every morning for coffee and would support in the evening for dinner bits just because of Con ! However, I go to the Doubleview IGA now if I need to get anything! Totally heartbroken the owners would do this to our community! Please boycot until we get new owners.
Thanks for creating a sense of community, highly valued in our area, great coffee, range of fresh produce and amazing friendly people
