Beautiful venue with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. The only downside for our large group was the acoustics in the Walker function room. The high ceiling and hardwood floor creates a beautiful space, however, it also makes the room quite loud and echoey. Conversation was quite difficult at times, particularly for some of our older guests. There was no background music, so it was purely the way sound carried in the room. With some sound-softening additions, this would be an outstanding space for group events. We will happily return.

The place looks really nice, and the food was amazing! We stuck to the classic chicken parmigiana and the portions were huge , you definitely get what you pay for. They also have pokies, which was a bonus. The staff were great too. Really enjoyed it!

I’ve been coming here for years and it’s always a top local spot. The chef deserves a shout-out — the food is consistently good and you can tell he actually cares about what he puts out. Staff are friendly, the service is reliable, and the place has a great atmosphere. Easily one of the best pubs around. Easily in the top 5 pizzas of Ballarat. Great tap beer too!

We had a function there at the Golf House Hotel following a Memorial Service and we could not fault them in any way.nnIt was in the late afternoon but nothing was a problem.nnThe food was great and plentiful and the bar service was excellent!nnThanks to Michelle for her help and the friendliness of the staff as it made our day!

We had our work christmas luncheon recently. We found the staff super friendly and very helpful. The room was well set out with our own bar and toilets. Our barman gave us table service and our meals came out fresh and hot. Will most likely rebook for next year. Thankyou for making our day enjoyable.
