I had a very similar experience as Ian. And they called me after my last review and threatened to take legal action. But this is my experience...  When I moved in there was meat in the fridge, dirty socks and q tips on the ground but when I left the place cleaner then I found it my bond was taken off me. When I emailed them a million times for cleaning receipts they never responded to me and claimed they never received the emails.
This is my personal experience and personal recommendation is find ANYONE else to rent from.  I'd give 0 out of 5 stars if google would let me. If you google 'gold coast real estate surfers paradise' you will find more negative reviews about this company.

To everyone who does not want to get scammed by these horrible people,

I highly recommend staying away from this real estate agency. They are very unreliable and use fake advertisement. 

Me and my family wanted to rent out our apartment trough them to find some nice tennants but they completely messed it up. They lost applications, put the wrong price and address in the online ad and on top of that they were very unhelpful/ unfrienly towards us. 
Most of the time we were dealing with a Dan**l. He was the most not caring person I've ever met in my life. He showed up 30 minutes late as we had an appointement to show him our property. As we explained crucial parts, he seemed very uninterested and obviously didn't pay any attention. 
Once the inspections were done we wanted them to make a selection of a few possible tennants for us to choose from. This took 2 weeks for them to give to us after they finished the last application and we actually didn't have many applicants. We decided to take some other real estate agency and within the first inspection we found lovely tennants. 

Never use this real estate! They just want your money and don't provide any service...

It's unfortunate how some agents are put in the same brackets as other agents. These guys are one of the worst I've come across. 

Don't answer emails, messages and charged $500 from a bond with zero explanation. Would not gey back to my friend saying why.

I spoke to another agent on the coast and said it was typical and he said it was one big scam.

How is this legal?

Not $490, or $525, just magically rounded to $500.

So a one bedroom apartment with a full bond clean (cleaners even returned twice) and the agent still manages to steal $500 from my friend with no explanation...

The only issue I believe was a dead mott in the rolled up blind... maybe the mott was given a full burial, maybe that's where the bond went?

Well done.. sleep well mate.

My opinion but hopefully this will help others.

The agents are not taking legal action against me for speaking the truth.. haha.

I'll let the RTA take it from here.
