If I could put a negative star I would! Awful experience having had CBRE value our new build on behalf of the lender. Valuer was totally out of his depth, admitted that he had no idea how to value property as it was extremely unique, phoned agent who is selling our property for help & guidance on valuing & during direct discussions asked for help with comparable sales. Had an independent valuation undertaken which was $400,000 greater than CBRE.

I wouldn’t buy a property off CBRE if you paid me. Our street and us have had to witness first hand over the past 18 months the behaviour and work ethic of your contractors - Condev Construction at Zinc, Kirra. Thank God they’ll be gone in 8 weeks.  One side of the road is closed off to non-local traffic and they employ a half-wit guy to stand there all day with a stop/slow sign. We watch him everyday looking around to see if his boss/colleagues are watching, then he turns away and close to his chest starts rolling smokes, checking before each puff if anyone’s watching. Imagine the quality of work going into this building if this is the type of staff they employ! No integrity, turned us right of purchasing!  Sorry to say, it is no wonder Zinc has struggled with their sales beyond it being about $100k over priced for being back from the beach and in this market, the construction company has been the cherry on top and every local neighbour share stories of disgust by what they have had to endure, see and experience everyday. CBRE needs to take a good look at why Kirra’s Iconic and Kirra X almost completely sold out before soil even turned, further to that, and no one complained about their professional contractors.  We need to get into our driveway and not take the visitor/tourist detour. The sign guy, along with us, can see if 1km straight up the road is completely clear of traffic, but he still jumps out in front of our car, and chases us around like a clown, shouting abuse, waving his fist at us, every time literally. The site is always left with rubbish and litter at the end of each day, there is no respect for their project or the neighbours.  This is AFTER the fact that the guy abused us, we came to a stop and reversed, wound our window down, introduced ourselves, we showed him the disability parking permit on our car and explained we lived opposite the construction site and needed to often urgently and in emergency access our driveway through the one lane open. He didn’t hear a word we said, he seemed to be full of anger and hate.  CONDEV, it seems, was too stingy to put one person on each of the 50 metres to allow locals from both ends to share through the measly 50 metres stretch of one lane open. Similarly, they didn’t employ someone who was capable of assisting locals through to their home. The road is a ghost town during the day and this guy with the tinted sunnies and teeth as bad as his cognitive function still couldn’t be bothered doing his job properly and helpfully assisting the locals through the road like is done on EVERY other construction. Why don’t you go check out the guy in the same position down the road at Bay apartments? Maybe you could train, educate and teach this unprofessional man and company how to do their job.  We’ve seen him note our car, number plates and of course we showed him which apartment we live in when we attempted to have a productive conversation with him 18 months ago. Thankfully we have a car camera and CTV, otherwise we wouldn’t put it past someone with this type of behaviour to come along and sabotage/vandalise.  Want to help your reputation and increase CBRE? Work with reputable construction companies next time.
