Everytime I come here for one of my kids who is unwell, there is always at least one triage/ front desk nurse saying unhelpful or rude things to me further increasing my distress and anxiety about my sick child. Also incredibly long waits for a rather empty and low tempo ED. On average I usually wait between 4-6 hours. With one or two sick babies. I only give an extra star because there are also some really wonderful kind nurses and doctors there once you get in.

Such an incredible hospital and team. I gave birth in August and had a midwife assigned to me my entire pregnancy. Jess came to my house for visits and was there 100% for me! And if not Jess the midwife on call team at Gawler were phenomenal. I am so thankful for them all. Best experience and the most comforting, supportive birth I could have asked for. :’

Went there with my 13 year old daughter who was in pain in upper leg towards groin area, had a rash, swollen, looked angry looking, had trouble walking with the pain, waited there 3 hours, kept on taking people in, complained to triage my daughter getting worse, no sympathy, finally offered Panadol and told her it was just a rash and she would have to wait and rude triage nurse told me to stop complaining as that will make it worse and she wouldn't get seen any quicker. Waited another half hour decided to leave as still nothing happening, have been happy in past with this place but not anymore, will hopefully get her seen somewhere tomorrow

I had to go to Day Surgery and the nursing staff and doctors were very polite, helpful and friendly.nnI also appreciate the admin lady at the front desk in Day Surgery who helped me. I couldn’t afford to pay the extra money that was requested on the day but she made sure I was still able to get my surgery done. Thank you very much!!

Very well looked after while attending day surgery for a couple of minor procedures.nFrom my pre surgery appointment to recovery the staff were all friendly,  caring and totally professional.nThe anesthetist and doctor explained everything clearly and made me feel relaxed going into theatre.nExceptional country hospital full of amazing staff.
