Gather foodhouse is a great place for lunch. The staff are incredibly attentive. We have turned up when they are super busy and they always let you know they are busy, set expectations and still manage to get your drink orders and food to you. They have a great cabinet selection. But I can never go past the extensive menu, where there are still loads of things I want to order next visit. There are multiple pancake options. Last time I was there I had the rice pudding and for less than 15 bucks it was massive and so so good. They have a salad bowl on the menu too that is really tasty, but again bring your appetite. The general feel of the place is fresh and well decorated. It’s a real joy to go.
Today I had the chicken and leek pie. Absolutely beautiful. Amazing pastry. It came with relish but I elected to have without. Would return again for this pie! Fantastic customer service. Love how you can customize your own burger. Food is always high quality.
Superb service, cool vibes, beautiful food! I had the steak sandwich and it was so juicy and flavourful! Best steak sandwich in town! My friends daughter had the berries and cream pancakes and the presentation was immaculate and flavour was spot on! Highly recommend! The cakes in the cabinet looked delicious so I'll be trying those next :
Lovely wee cafe in frankton. This is eggs bene ham, a bit different from the norm. Looking forward to trying the salads in summer and soups in winter. Thank you
The atmosphere is lovely here with comfortable seats. The coffee has never been burnt, lots of options and alternative milks. Food is great too!
Service was amazing, great atmosphere and music. Great parking just outside. Great prices and lots of yummy food to choose from in cabinet or on menu! The food caters for everyone, food come out really fast. The guy serving us was so lovely! We’ll be back for sure! Thank you!
Great food and coffee. Lovely warm and cozy atmosphere. I had the full breakfast and partner had avo on toast. Great portion sizes and flavour. Only critique can be is I like my eggs a bit softer! Edit: Thank you, we will keep that in mind next time. We are definitely coming back!
Always great drink, lovely foods and friendly staffs. My fav is ham crochet bene but everything is just tasty. Lucky to live in walking distance from such a lovely cafe : Highly recommend!
Quick and helpful communication throughout the whole process made ordering from the catering menu so easy. Steve and his team are great and the food looked amazing and tasted delicious! Thank you and we will be back again for our next event!
The decor is comfortable is its best element. Had a couple of breakfasts, while the flowers on plate make it more pretty that doesn't help poor cooking, dry eggs a bunch of potatoe croquettes from a frozen packet. Ambience not helped by smokers at the table outside with smoke coming in so even though we moved tables you could escape it. Why ask how the food was if you don't really care? And the coffee is slightly below average, milky and on the colder side. Don't be fooled by the flowers and what's looks pretty in the pic these are bag frozen quality ingredients. And just to add given the longish feedback response. I did raise the issue with the eggs when paying to a response of oh sorry after queueing with the only 3 other people in the store to pay while the staff messed about out the back. Coffee is to taste to mine this was just above luke warm and lacked any depth of flavor. When I moved table to get away from the smoke twice as first far from the door as possible so sitting by the toilet the staff just watched as we carried our food and drinks in two trips to another table no offer to assist and we were one of only 3 tables occupied - and at no time was the outside door closed even when the staff walked though it.
