Story

Southport Sharks is a premier dining and entertainment precincit and one of the largest clubs in Queensland, hosting 1 million visitors annually. The facility offers a multi-purpose events centres, two restaurants, a café, five bars, modern 24/7 fitness centre, kids club, gaming and entertainment plus a 120-room hotel (due for completion in early 2018).

One of the Gold Coast's leading clubs with over 50,000 members, Southport Sharks is located just 10 minutes from Surfers Paradise and 5 minutes from the stunning Gold Coast Broadwater.

Southport Sharks is open daily from 8.30am.

Please note the club is closed for Good Friday and Christmas Day, and special trading hours for ANZAC Day when the club opens at 12.00pm on Anzac Day.

Have been coming to the buffet for close to 10 years. It has had its ups and downs, but tonight was by far the worst. Sorry frenzy food. The lamb chops, too tough to cut with a knife, inedible. The roast was too dry to swallow. Chicken nibbles cold and so far over cooked, like beef jerky. Old rotten tomatoes in the salad. The only things that were appetising, the soft serve icecream, bread rolls. Devistated, will provably not return for a year or so.....if at all

Recently went here for a "Special Occasion" dinner and to say we were satisfied with the food would be an understatement. We opted for the "All you can eat" Buffet. BIG MIstake. We had a small entree of Curried beef and Chinese pork rashers. The serving was cold and the pork so tough the knife would not cut through it. One taste and pushed it aside. We then tried the Roast selection, a good selection of meat and sides but then only warm. thank goodness a fresh jug of gravy warmed the meal to some satisfaction. The dessert was satisfactory as was the staff. While the Club is a great venue the food served on this night was the worst we have tasted at this venue. We have been members for over 15 years and to be honest I don't think we will be renewing our Membership in 2018. To think we drove past 5 or 6 excellent eateries to be subject to food not worthy of being offered to the public. Very dissatisfied Member. Won't be coming back and neither will my friends.

Food is really getting worse every time I go. Totally over priced. I would not recommend. Half the staff are lovely people other half don’t deserve to work with the public. This club really needs to fix their problems as it used to be my number one choice but not anymore.

Plenty of different places to eat and not too expensive. Little bit difficult to get in and out with traffic, and has an IGA if you want to take some groceries home.
