Staff were friendly. $23 for a breakfast croissant and small coffee. Dog friendly great views. Clean amenities. Clean bathrooms.nBeautiful flowers and next to the aquatic centre . Parking was easy. Views are second to none . Beautiful coffee
The location did all the magic. The food was pretty expensive, and cant say impressive. But because the interior, location and view were marvelous, I'd definitely visit here again.
We absolutely love Café Catalina! We've been so many times now for all kinds of meals and events, and it’s always amazing. The food is consistently delicious, the cocktails and mocktails are a fave, and the vibe is just so good. Honestly can't decide whether I prefer breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner there :DnnThe staff are always lovely, and Ant the manager is a total legend — he always goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome and looked after. His hospitality and genuine care for guests is what keeps us coming back time and time again.The location is beautiful too, right on the water, and it’s the kind of place you just want to keep coming back to.nnHighly recommend for a chill brunch, a special celebration, or anything in between.
I’m pretty surprised by the positive reviews. The service here was not great. The staff were friendly enough when you could get hold of them but they often just walked past even after making eye contacting and waving them over.nnThe chicken in my bao bun was raw, took 10+ minutes to get anyone’s attention, when I said sorry to be a pain but the chicken is raw, the guy said “okay I’ll get the chef to do something” ? Does this happen a lot? No sorry, nothing, either at the time or as I was leaving. They brought me a new one bare minimum! but acknowledgement there was an issue rather than acting like I was being inconvenient would have been nice.nnEntree prices are reasonable but pretty high for main meals. I wouldn’t have minded the raw chicken, not the end of the world, if there was any apology or confidence in the service. Friendliness goes a long way when food poisoning is on the table.nnIt’s in a beautiful location but it’s more like an old pub/Hogsbreath style place than a nice restaurant for dinner or lunch.nnIf the prices are going to be that high, have to pay for parking and you’ve got a location like this, it needs to be more than the experience I had.
