Great suburban french styled cafe on River Rd Hamilton just north of the Fairfield bridge, open for breakfast (all day), lunch and afternoon tea.

The fish tart was heated up in such a way that the pastry was chewy. Side salad good. Chai Latte way too sweet. Nice atmosphere

Nice coffee and food. Sometimes parking can be hard to find. Try around the back of cafe as well for parks.

For a neighborhood cafe they do a decent job. The place is cosy and with character, but the staff seemed a bit lost. They didn't approach us when we entered (though it was not crowded at all) and we had to ask for everything: menu (which was on the blackboard), water, even utensils. Food was nice, but the portions a bit small (French?) for the price. Coffee and sugar-free/gluten-free/dairy-free cake was delicious though.

Food, coffee and desserts are all good. Portions are "French". There are two dining areas, one at the back that could be lovely in warmer days. Things to improve: ventilation and lighting inside the shop
