Location beside the lake is excellent, close to the Frankton Arm Hotel which had nice lunch and evening dining. 5 minutes to walk to a bus stop which is a central hub and can go into the downtown area or out to the shopping center. Price is reasonable for Queenstown district. Staff fine. Showers nice and warm, although if someone was in the kitchen using water it effects your shower in the block closest to the entrance. The kitchen was tidy but had a lack of cooking equipment, was told by local residents the management take them away if no one cleans up to standard so we all got punished for this as day one they where there and day 3 gone. The locals in the park a friendly and harmless, some may look intimidating but they are all friendly. The management had a party for one of their family members and this was extremely loud and went into the early hours. Wasn't a good night to be in the park. The following day the toilets where really dirty for most of the day. The signs all over the park about cleaning up after yourself where really worded in a way that treated people like kids. Unfortunately in parks not everyone will do the right thing and the park staff have/should clean it up for the other people who do and appreciate clean amenities. Not sure if I would stay here again

If you have any intention of getting a few hours sleep in Frankton you are probably better of with a mat on the middle of the highway. Besides the noise of starting airplanes and bright spotlights directed on your tent, the idea of being quiet in the night seem not be common sense on this camping ground. Drunk people and madman's toying with their motorcycle motor all night. Avoid if at all possible!! The common facilities and bathrooms are mediocre at best.

I liked camping here. Had a lively view from our tent site. Handy to bike trails and the pub.

It's nice place to stay for backpackers but for family as well. They have many kinds of little houses, hou can sleep in the temp, available for all kind of cars (powered site). The kitchen is nice, the stoves are really strong, you can borrow the pan and another staff in the office if you don't have. They have also living room with TV, sofas, pink-pong table, big dinning table, on the terrace is nice and big BBQ. Showers and toilets are OK. You can also came take just shower for 7$. Place is next to the lake wich is perfect and also next to the aeroport so during the day it's can be a bit annoying but for us it wasn't a problem at all.

+ Convenient location close the airport and next to the cycle trail to Queenstown + Kind and helpful owners / management o Fairly clean - It can get noisy at night - Water temperature of the showers depends on the water usage of the kitchen tap (you better don't have a shower during eating hours...)
