What a gem. As recent Blue Mountains arrivals, Blackheath was high on our list to explore — and this place was first cab off the rank, given how much we loved P&V and Baba's Place in Sydney.nnIt genuinely feels like stepping into someone's home. The staff are warm, personable, and impressively knowledgeable — I was whisked into a stunning wine room and guided through an extraordinary selection with real care and zero pretension. The waiter took the time to understand what we were eating and what styles we gravitated toward, offering options across a great range of price points.nnThe food is excellent. Portions are considered rather than generous, but the quality is there. We did hit a small snag — our sides arrived before our mains, which threw off the balance of the meal. Our waitress noticed we hadn't finished and when I mentioned what had happened, she apologised immediately and, without any fuss, removed the lamb from our bill. That kind of instinctive, gracious recovery is the mark of a truly great restaurant.nnWe'll be back — and bringing friends from Sydney. Whether you're after a glass of wine and a few snacks or a proper sit-down meal, this place delivers. Absolutely worth the trip.
Frankie and Mo’s wine bar restaurant located in Blackheath offers locally made wines and tapas style food.nThe food portions are small and a bit pricey.nThe restaurant is small 25 seats so bookings are recommended.nThe atmosphere can feel cramped depending on which table you’re allocated.nThe service is friendly and casual.
Food was so delicious and honestly one of the best culinary experiences of my life, the wine was one of the best wines I’ve ever had, the staff were so lovely and it was such a cute restaurant. I loved the art works, daffodils and wattle in the vases. 10/10
We had the wine and charcuterie tasting. Clean and cozy venue with cool vibes.nnGood service from Jess and Tom, lovely wine, and good quality charcuterie.nnWines were served at good temperature and times. 1 sparkling, 2 white, 1 Rose, 1 Red and 2 sweets. Good amount in each.nnNext time we’ll try the pumpkin Lasagna because smelled and looked terrific.
A delightful little wine bar eatery.n​Plenty of wine in the back and patrons around us all drank it but interesting that nobody offered us a wine list or promoted any bottles. No matter coz we wanted beer after a trek down Grand Canyon in 33 degree heat. Even though I was hot and dehydrated from the hike, my 6.5% alc, foreign beer made only slight impact.n​We ordered: Z G M R salata, Livers, Cured Trout, Baguette & Pannacotta. Everything was tasty and cheaper than Sydney! The standout dish was the livers - the dressing and mint balanced the rich texture of the livers nicely.nThe chef would come out frequently to bring the food and briefly describe each dish to the patrons.nService wise, I say the waiter staff was great. Another good example of country hospitality- warm, patient & polite. I also want to point out after reading a former Asian diner's comment my dining companion is also of Asian descent and communicated frequently with staff without receiving any adverse reactions.nIn summary, a wonderful reward after expending so much energy. Definitely, want to return.
