Went to buy Apples, smothered in fruit flys and soft and dented. Over priced and poor variety. Many of the shelves are mostly empty. Also the older gentleman who works there (maybe the owner) is extremely rude and snappy with children. After my last experience there as an owner of a unit in the area I will never go again and never recommend!! It’s worth the short drive to Coles!

It's a nice quick stop to get cheap, quality items.

There was bacon on special in fridges but they all turned grey & the expiry date written by hand. I asked do you sell half chicken (bbq chooks) she simply replied “no” in a rude tone. She’s been smiley n nice to all other (white skin) customers! But as soon as brown skin guy comes she went mad!

Staff randomly accuse people of theft. Took friends up to Hervey Bay to show them around Queensland as they were foreign tourists. Stopped into this Foodworks to grab a few things, purchased our items and proceeded to leave. Heard the screeching of some old banshee behind us. "Oi did you take a cheeryripe?", we looked around immediately thinking she was yelling at some kids. There was no one else there, she must have been yelling at us. She raced over to search my friend who had just purchased a Chocolate bar. He said "No I just purchased this", she questioned him again in disbelief. She gave in and let out a reluctant "Sorry mate" in a very unapologetic manner. I would suggest in dealing with issues like this in the future that this or other would be nut case shopkeepers take a moment to think before they act. beyond this being an unreasonable way to act, when you're economy is reliant on Tourism it's not a particularly smart message to put out to the world. "Come to our town and we'll treat you like garbage" isn't really a widely used slogan in many tourist towns. She may just be one shop keeper but negative experiences get talked about. Approach people politely and with manners is also pretty cheap to do.
