It’s an independent supermarket which is laid out like a full service one. The manager is very friendly but they do have a few challenges here. drunks and bums frequently hang around out front hassling people for money, which doesn’t exactly make it welcoming. The range of food, especially deli goods is interesting and confusing. It tries a little too hard to be gourmet, when that part of Fitzroy they should focus more on cost savings. I hope this foodworks lasts long enough. They have a habit of closing after a while, mainly due to cost and obvious lack of care from their franchise owners.

Hostile service as they assumed I was shop lifting. Ask nicely to check people's bags or clothes if you have any concerns. Don't be patronizing and condescending because your assumption is not always true.

It's expensive and they sell thing that it's out of date and they freeze the food for to long and bad management
