Visited,with friends to celebrate Christmas. Great oldie worldly hotel which really appealed to me and I will be visiting again.  Friendly bar staff. The people I was with had Oyster Kilpatrick as as enter which they lovely followed by reasonably priced seniors meal. Which was also enjoyed. I opted for the mixed grill, which I informed by my friends, was a huge meal, although quite a bit pricey at $34. I ordered garlic sauce which pushed the price up to over $36. My meal consisted of a very small loin chop, what I regarded as a small piece of steak, about 10mm thick, a small piece of bacon and a sausage. A meal which I found for the price very disappointing. For $36 at a restaurant I could a high quality steak with Veges/side salad. I consider my mixed grill would have been reasonable price at $20, but, still not like the mixed grill of years ago, that you could get from any pub you could walk into. Had I been satisfied with the meal, I would have certainly added another star. But, as I said,I will hopefully return at a later and write another review.

Just had a beer today mate.
But have been there quite e few times to eat. Tuesday night, PARMA night.  They are huge from giant chooks, taste great plus good valve for money. 
Try them.

Came here on a Wednesday for the $12 pie special. The pie is bloody hot, it burnt its way through my body. When i woke up it had worked its way to the end but because i was lying down, it burnt me a new butt hole.
They have bundaberg and coke on tap too with a good amount on bunderberg in it, not that it's any cheaper though, a pot will set you back $9.50.

Have eaten here many times over many years.
Used to be great venue with great food. 

Recent visit was very disappointing. Husband's prawns arrived uncooked and cold in the  middle. Staff tetchy when approached about the  issue. The steak we ordered was supposed to be rare - it was blue.

My meal, carbonara (which I've ordered many times previously) was bland and lacking flavour in the sauce. This dish used to be amazing, why so different now?

My drink of white rum and soda water tasted metallic. What the?

Used to be such a great place to eat. I should have known something was amiss when the place was not packed as it normally is. 

Won't be back. Terribly disappointing.

You would have a hard time trying to find something wrong. Great service and the best food in Australia, plus cold beverages served with a smile.
