There's not much space and missing so much equipment both upper body and lower.nnVisited for first time and was doing back and arms, I couldn’t seem to find lower biceps curl, so unable to finish that session. Pool was quite dark and not as good as found up the road at Mermaid Waters. The mens locker room was okay was getting quite rundown. If looking for good gym to bodybuild Bundall is better choice.

I’ll give you a favour and tell plainly that don’t sign up for this gym. They have hidden costs, keep pushing cancellation dates and still charging you for any non-sense things they didn’t mention during sign-up because they’re only interested in signing up. After sign-up nobody cares about you. The equipment is also old and needs upgrade but they don’t care. And it’s too crowded whenever you go. You need to wait most of the time for your turn. I regret signing up to this gym and it’s hard to get out as they find a reason to keep you in the billing cycle. Just do a favour for yourself and find another gym.

I was a member at Goodlife Burleigh for over a year and wanted to share my experience so others know what to expect before signing up.nnIn my view, the gym feels quite tired. A lot of equipment seemed old or frequently out of action during my time there, and some machines stayed unfixed for long periods. I also often found the space to be less clean than I would have expected for a large, well-known chain.nnMy main issue came when I tried to cancel. Even though I had completed my minimum term, I ended up being charged more than I anticipated. I had been verbally told that cancellation required 4 weeks of paid notice, but when I actually cancelled, I discovered that the way they calculate the notice period through their billing cycle wasn’t clearly explained upfront. This resulted in me being charged beyond what I thought the 30-day notice clause said I got charged for 5 full weeks!.nnTo me, the cancellation costs felt unclear, and as though they deliberately try to make the process of cancelling as difficult as possible. Management were not helpful or accepting that their staff on the front desk give out incorrect information. I did raise the issue further, but the gym chose not to take part in the Fair Trading process when I pursued clarification.nnBased on my experience, if I could go back in time, I would have chosen a different gym. There are plenty of other options in the area that may suit people better with a nicer sense of community and where your membership payments are being reinvested back into the gym.

This gym has been an absolute nightmare to deal with.nnWe rented the gym for a 3-month period and were explicitly told that once the 3 months ended, the agreement would simply finish on its own and we wouldn’t need to manually cancel anything.nnThat turned out to be completely false.nnWhen we later tried to address the situation, we were told that cancellation during the 3-month period wasn’t allowed and that it was “in the terms and conditions.” This was never clearly explained to us verbally, despite being a critical detail that would have affected our decision from the start.nnRelying on fine print while giving different verbal information is misleading and unethical. If something is that important, it should be clearly communicated upfront not buried in terms and used later as a technicality.nnThe lack of transparency, poor communication, and unwillingness to take responsibility shows exactly how this business operates. They’re happy to take your money, but when there’s a problem, they hide behind paperwork instead of acting fairly.nnWe feel completely taken advantage of and would strongly recommend avoiding this gym especially if you’re renting space or entering any kind of contract.nnThere are plenty of gyms that operate with honesty and integrity. This is not one of them

A friendly gym, with a great sense of community.  Amazing group fitness classes from early morning to evening an such a huge variety of choices.   Beautifully maintained with incredibly dedicated instructors who go above and beyond to motivate.  And always a lovely warm welcome at reception!
