Experienced clear discrimination at First Choice Riverton. Was refused service because my daughter helped me carry a 6pack of beer to the counter. ASM Daniel who I note has other similar complaints around racism and rude service was intimidating and arrogant in his refusal of service, even after a reasonable clarification of the event was discussed.nnAt no time did we try to deceive him wrt age or was it ever reasonable to suspect that she was trying to purchase it herself or that I was sneakily trying to buy it for her. He continued to take delight in being able to stare down and repeatedly and aggressively question a 15yr old and continue to accuse us in his judgement of an attempt to purchase alcohol for a minor. There was no suggestion of this in any case but I take major issue with the clear discriminatory action based on race and appearance.nnFirst Choice you have a clear trend in reviews here of similar behaviour from ASM Daniel, so either everyone who he serves is super sensitive or he is in fact targeting race and appearance and being over zealous with his application of policy to a particular cohort. Indeed it would seem he enjoys the power trip, rather than just doing his job.nnWhat is your response First Choice? Never shopping there again until something is done about this.
This is the best place for alcoholic drinks. Spirits, beer, and wine.nBeer is available chilled or room temperature - I have never seen so many choices!
Very bad behaviour by ASM Daniel and TM SAM both seem very racist as they were implementing policies according to our appearance only saving grace was TM Kathy who served us with a bright smile.
Great store. Has everything you need. Staff are very helpful also
