The fire and ice is amazing. An hour and a half in here to relax is perfect and worth every penny! The food was really nice and it was a lovely lunch. Massage was good, a tad more pressure would’ve been good but I was very relaxed by the end. -1 star for my facial which was meant to be 60 minutes ending up being 40. Also therapist seemed disinterested with my facial. Other than that amazing! Not the best photos as they’re screenshotted from a video
We've had a swim membership here for a couple years, it is beautiful and a fantastic sized pool, which is probably why the main pool is always a bit chilly at first. But recently it has been particularly cold, everyone comments on it. I understand the cost to heat would have hugely increased now, but I for one would be happy to increase the monthly membership for a more enjoyable swim
Love this place so much… The most relaxing spa in Devon by far, so affordable and you get way more than your moneys worth. My favourite bit is the herbal sauna, it sorted my nasal problems out instantly and I woke up the morning after feeling so refreshed. The place is immaculate and the hot tubs feel very hygienic. Don’t trust the bad reviews, it is an amazing place and I have been weekly for a while…. I will be going again next week :
Lovely pool facilities. Has a separate lane for swimmers ,however you get the odd breast dtoker in there spoiling the fun.. Gym is more than adequate for most people with a selection of free weights and machines. ..rowers treadmills and cross trainers. Always clean and tidy AC is good in the gym water supplies too
Visited today and had the fire and ice experience as well as a full body massage. Fire and ice experience was amazing and 90 minutes is 100% enough time! I had my massage from Izzy and it was so relaxing and she really listened to what I wanted. Definitely would recommend.
i was here for fire and ice in the aztek spa torquay, very good price of £45 for 2 at 90 minutes they have many different sauna rooms, with an ice bowl and steamers roon to finish, the jacuzzi xxl large and Fit for big hen parties as this is perfect for a spa day aka hen parties as I know they like quick treatments being a spa therapist you know what clients like to do. The spa is perfect but I think needs more love in its details, but this is an amazing place and we had fun time relaxing here. i would say maybe more shower mats are needed in the changing rooms and on shower floor around fire an ice aswell. The entrance to this needs an app card entrance to the door, was just left open and we all could have just stayed in longer, it would have been nice to have a robes as I get cold and hot easy and fresh tea or coffee. I am happy and next time I want a spa day with the treatments and swim ‍ many thanks scotty x
Pools are a bit chilly, steam room or sauna and thenodd toilet or shower are frequently out of order... Needs a bit of T.L.C but if you can overlook that then it's lovely Aztec themed pool area for swimming and playing with the kids. Dip 'n' dine, spa and gym are all here too.
I don't understand why there are so many bad reviews on this place apart from very picky people! We spent £15 for a Dip and Dine which includes two swimming pools, jacuzzi, sauna, steamroom which was unfortunately closed then a good choice of food in the restaurant above. If you don't fancy anything on the dip and dine menu you just pay a few pounds more and choose from the rest of the menu. Drinks cheap too and hire of a towel £1. Will definitely return.
While this place boasts a variety of leisure functions unfortunately it doesn't display any particular care or attention to maintaining these. The steam room while a great experience to some was too hot and left people leaving light headed, overheated or generally feeling like they were burning up at their extremities when I visited today, clearly there was a malfunction but the staff were allowing guests to enter regardless with no warning. Additionally multiple signs had been placed around the leisure pools regarding missing light fixtures and to take care. If this was just the one you could expect that this was something recently occuring that was to be repaired soon, however I saw no fewer than 3 signs in separate locations which therefore leads to the assumption that no action is being taken for any faults in that area. Not an experience I would recommend and doubtful it's something I would return to.
The interior of the pool area looks great. Love the Aztec theme. Unfortunately it's really filthy inside. The changing rooms smell of urine. And the floors are really disgusting. Showers are not working properly - you'd need to press the button every 5-10 seconds. The women's toilet is by far the worst thing to enter. And should not be entered barefoot. It doesn't look like it ever gets cleaned. Real health & safety hazard. Enter at your own risk.
