Story

Not much has changed, since we first started caring for our community some 100 years ago, fashioned from the values and personalities of our very own families and friends. Those humble beginnings remain as true today, although perhaps a slightly more polished version, to provide you with the very best service and advice with respect and the wishes of your loved ones in mind.

Whilst we have a long history, we are always looking into the future. As members of the Australian Funeral Directors Association (AFDA) we are committed to maintaining the highest standards in everything we do. From a simple greeting and smile of comfort, to global worldwide practice of excellence and quality assurance, it’s in our nature to care and consider every detail in memory of your loved one.

Jacqui at Finneys was professional, caring and listened to what we wanted right from the start. Communication was 10/10 and nothing was too much trouble for her if we asked for something specific. It was a beautiful send off for my mother and went off without a hitch. Well done Jacqui, you are a real asset to Finneys xx
The team at Finney, particularly Mark Dowsen were compassionate and efficient in helping us organise our mum's funeral. They were also culturally aware and sensitive and met our needs in regards to organising a Hindu funeral. All our requests were met and nothing was a challenge. They also have one of the two crematoriums in Launceston on site and the only crematorium open 24/7 which allows for quick cremation as required by several cultures. It was a no brainer to go with Finneys from the moment we picked up the phone asking for help. Thank you once again for the care and dignity you gave our late mother.
My husband died suddenly and this funeral home was one of the most nicest and helpful. The lady who came to see me was kind helpful and she was full of information. The company was respectful they listened to what I wanted and did it tonPerfection. I could not have asked for a more perfect experience in one of the saddest times in my life. Thank you so much. Highly recommended.
We recently had Finneys conduct my mother’s funeral and could not fault the whole experience.nPerson of note, Jac who planned everything with my sister and I , went over and above in every sense. Jac showed boundless empathy, warmth, and knowledge on the whole process. Through our grief we felt supported and assured on all levels by Jac.nFinneys are very fortunate to have her .nWe were also grateful to have Colin officiating .nI cannot praise Finneys enough , particularly for the small details ie: Locketts of Mum’s hair .
We are glad we chose Finney to provide us with funeral services. Mark took care of us right from the first phone call, and helped make a terrible situation bearable. They provided a personalised service, and every moment was thoughtfully organised to create minimal stress for us, yet honor the memory of our loved one.
