Still suffering poor acoustics in the Concert Hall. We were there for our granddaughter's graduation ceremony from the University. None of our group could clearly hear the speakers. Seating was comfortable. No parking. Easy pedestrian access.
Went to a TSO concert here. Place is acoustically good but the seats are not built for someone 6ft tall and 100kg. Very little leg room and almost no padding on the seats. Apart from that, it's quite a nice place, nice staff and being attached to the hotel, easy to get food and drinks before or after the show.
Large concert hall in Hobart. Good acoustics and sightlines from balconies. Home of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra.
Had the opportunity to see and hear Jonsi and Alex with the TSO and a choir in this beautiful venue. The seating layout is designed so that the stage can be viewed easily from any vantage point unlike other auditoriums which sometimes you can feel too far away from the stage. For me, this is a huge pro because it ensures a great experience whatever seat you get. I wish there were more venues like this elsewhere.
The home of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. The venue is in a convenient location in the city centre so it's easy to reach by car, foot and public transport. The venue overlooks the harbour so makes for a wonderful sundowner spot. The concert hall is modern, has good acoustics and comfortable seating.
The Christmas special was absolutely wonderful.
Enjoyed a concert here during Dark Mofo. The space is very comfortable. Was a little confusing where the entrance is, but it's part of the hotel next door it seems.
Great venue, would benefit from additional places to purchase a drink.
An intimate experience, commensurate with the size of the town it services. Hobart's Lincoln Center! The TSO was wonderful! As was the soprano, who I was unfamiliar with, in the performance. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
What a surprise! The concert hall of best acoustic effect that I have been to. Very spacious seats. Not to mention the quality of TSO.
