Located on the river terrace within Melbourne’s finest arts precinct is Fatto Bar &Cantina. With spectacular views across Melbourne’s city skyline and Yarra river, Fatto is an all day Italian eatery, serving up fresh, modern interpretations of the Italian classics.

Open daily from noon till late, enjoy a pasta in the cantina or stop by to take full advantage of Saluti (happy our) from 4 - 6pm in the bar.

The terrace (which is now heated!), runs the entire length of the venue and holds the best seats in the house. Sit amongst the vines, enjoy a vino and take in the uninterrupted views of Melbourne’s city skyline and Yarra river.

Fatto takes reservations and always welcome walk in’s.

Happened to be walking by on way out to dinner and saw they had a special on espresso martini’s. Went in for a quick drink and was impressed by the variety of bar snacks and ambience. Will have to go there again for a longer session next time hopefully the espresso martini’s will in special again

I always feel a bit disappointed here. Both the bar and the Catina restaurant seem to disappoint. Beautiful venue and convenient to theatre venues, but staff are too busy to be attentive and food is expensive for what it is.

Really good place for a spritz and an antipasto plate! Recommend the elderflower spritz as it was so delicious! They have a really good selection of meats and cheeses. Lost a star cause I asked them for a couple more crackers but they charged me.

Great food, beautifully cooked and presented. Pre- show two course menu excellent value. Always have us out on time for the show. Staff are very professional.

Delicious lazy Saturday lunch on the terrace. Shared beetroot risotto, baramundi, crab pasta and pumpkin ravioli as well as garlic pizza and ricotta nectarine to start. Would recommend all of them. Drink service was slow and could be improved.

Came here for a quick pizza and drink before seeing West Side Story at the Arts Centre. Friendly staff, great view, nice atmosphere. Pizza wasn’t huge and my “negroni” was a bit expensive. Make sure you get a table number before you go up and order.

Waited an hour for flavourless pizzas. Garlic pizza was flavoured with garlic powder. I could see the granules, gave pizza a grainy texture. No real garlic used. Potatoe pizza was supposed to have truffle pesto, nil truffle flavor. Have had better food at the train station. Gave it 2 stars because staff are friendly, service is good.

My usual selection for pre theatre meals aground the art centre prevent precent. Simple Italian meals at ok prices. Had burger during summer day with a Peroni red, hard to fault it

Peroni beer is great as it's location. 4 different pizzas and only pepperoni had want flavour
