Kuan Yin Tea House is the best vegan/vegetarian option in Brisbane. Every dish out of the kitchen is superb! The staff are friendly and approachable - the atmosphere is warm and inviting without an ounce of pretension. Don't forget to order the fresh watermelon juice - an absolute essential for every visit!

I absolutely love this place. I eat there at least once a week with friends or family because it's so delicious and cheap. Two people can order an entrée, two mains and two drinks without breaking $30. Of course, you can find this kind of value in most places around Chinatown, but Kuan Yin is fully vegetarian with a great range of faux meats. I especially enjoy all the fish dishes, but the pork and chicken are awesome too. So far I've liked everything I've tried on the menu (which is most of it). The staff are always lovely and welcoming and the restaurant is cosy. I don't think I'll ever get sick of Kuan Yin :D

The bouncer was an ass-hole on a power trip and wouldn't let me in even though I was sober. I'm going to Love and Rockets next time. Goddammit I'm still mad.
