Took my boy Finn to the emergency vet yesterday morning after realising he had consumed a lot of chocolate through the night. The nurses took him in straight away and conducted thorough checks and confirmed he was doing good but needed to stay in for monitoring. The vet was lovely and very informative and I was more than happy to leave him in such safe hands. He was there for around 12 hours and they kept me updated with his progress. I can’t thank the vets and staff enough for their care and consideration for Finn, and all their patients after watching multiple pets come in during the night. Thank you EVH, Finn is doing so well and it kept my mind at ease knowing he was in such safe hands
I took my 11-year-old Rottweiler last night as she was in significant pain and distress. Everyone was so lovely and spent time with her to help her feel comfortable. She is a lot happier today. Thank you so much EVH!!
Came here on the Sunday just gone with my cat, Treacle. It was quite a long wait for her to be seen, but seeing 3 other families leave without their pets really puts it into perspective as to why the wait was so long. Our girl was seen to by the most caring, compassionate vet I have ever come across. I wish I got her name. She had also lost her senior darling a few months prior. Our girl unfortunately had stomach cancer and we had to make the heartbreaking decision to let her go. The care and compassion that this beautiful person had for us was unmatched. She was so gentle and kind and loving to our girl and let us have all the time we could to say goodbye. Whilst our hearts are in pieces, I am so thankful I had this beautiful vet with us who helped our girl cross over the rainbow bridge. I hope both our Calicos have found each other. I also received the most beautiful card from the staff at EVH with my girls paw prints that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you for all that you do
I having nothing but praise for the crew at Wangara. Had to rush our loved 16 year old Beagle Coco up there last Monday. She was taken straight and made very comfortable, sadly at her age and the serious issue, there was not much that could be done. However, what they did and their care was next level, including the cost, which was reasonable. Big call-out to Fiona B on the desk, she was the best. The follow up card, paw prints etc were beautiful. I cannot recommend this crew more highly. Thank you for everything. We miss you schmo as does Mr Huntly
Brought our dog in this morning early as she didn't seem herself. The staff and vets there are an awesome bunch of people who went above and beyond for our girl. Even small things like clipping her nails and it also looks like they gave her pearly whites a scrub too. Highly recommended
We took our beloved boy to them after going to another vet and not getting much help. EVH took him in, and knew straight away something was wrong. They were thorough and kept us up to date. Unfortunately it wasn't good news, but they were compassionate and clearly cared for him as well. We had to make the tough decision, and they allowed us to say goodbye. While we had to let him go, the staff took my young girls to another room and did some colouring. The vet who had to do the unthinkable, she got emotional as well. All the staff were so empathetic and emotional, which made it feel more wholesome as it wasn't "just their job", they felt it too. They took some prints of his paws and also hand wrote a card for us with a beautiful message. They were all so beautiful during this hard time. Thank you for the beautiful card, and thank you for the care you gave our boy in his final moments.
My mini dachshund Alfie got into some chocolate over Easter a lot and so we came for emergency treatment. As traumatic as we thought that process would’ve been for him, our anxious pup was so chirpy and smiley walking out with his vet practitioner and significantly less anxious than had been since we left the house! Somehow this scary experience was very positive for him and I’m so thankful for all the lovely staff who treated my baby with care and love. Thank you so much EVH!!
Thank you to the team at EVH emergency My dog was attacked late at night and we had to rush him in to get stitches. They were really great with explaining things, reassuring me and overall helping my anxiety as well as Yukis. 3 days in and he’s on the mend, no infection, his wounds are healing and he’s back to his happy old self.
I’ve cried every night for months after losing our boy sarge so senselessly. I’ve avoided leaving a review given the nature of the vets replies to other complaints and their lack of compassion but after everyone I know being outraged including other vetinary professionals it’s time we spoke up, We took our French bulldog to Evh with a cut foot, he needed stitches but wasn’t a priority, they dosed him up on methadone until they could stitch him first mistake given he’s brachy they rang to advise everything went well and they would let him recover, 20minutes later they rang and said sorry to ask you to pick him up early but can you get here asap he’s having an “existential crisis” exact words used. We raced to Evh against better judgement wondering why he wasn’t still oxygenated after a GA, when we collected sarge he was gasping for air, we thought it was excitement but it didn’t change, rang them back and they said he’s dysphoric from the methadone, he took his last breath on his own within 2 minutes of arriving back there before needing to be intubated, his airways collapsed, no steroid was administered until it was too late and he was put to sleep that day because he was no longer capable of breathing on his own and needed a tracheostomy to bypass his airways moving forward. The vet was in tears no doubt guilt ridden because she was incompetent, unable to give us any kind of answer when we asked all likelihoods and had to ring Murdoch for advice on how to care for him moving forward. They made an error and had the audacity to ask for an extra $2000 to keep him overnight and hope for a different outcome. He went in for a cut and never came home, I took my soul mate to them for help. Instead they took away his ability to breathe. Will never use this vet again. We’ve used them before with a different vet in charge with great success but this young female vet that treated our sargey was a disgrace.
My beautiful Doberman had swallowed a massive part of a dog toy. He needed surgery straight away and was looked after by the best people. EVH are professional, caring and clearly love what they do. I am just so grateful they saved my baby.
