I have been going to Elephant Corridor since the day it was opened. The staff at Elephant Corridor used to be one of their strongest assets and they were always nice and courteous. However, recently the staff has changed and the service has gone down the drain. This Saturday, my partner was working at night so I ended up going to Elephant Corridor to have dinner by myself. It was around 9:15 pm and around 4-5 tables were free inside. The manager asked me if it only me for dinner and when I said yes he said we are fully booked out and can only offer a bar seat. He made me feel very unwelcome. This discrimination against people eating out on their own is not fair. You should be making all your customers feel welcome regardless of whether they are eating out alone or not and saying you are fully booked when there are plenty of spare tables is not nice. Even though i love their food wont be returning their anytime soon.

Amazing food. The curry crab (?) crab curry (?) is AMAZING. Need a bigger font for AMAZING to truly express how I feel about it. Been there 5 times in the last 2 years. Each time an absolute pleasure. Friendly wait staff. Excellent nan! Perhaps avoid if you don't like spicy food (duh?) Oh, the butter chicken is amazing too... I always end up ordering 2 serves!

Amazing biryani. The best i have had in Melbourne. String hoppers almost melts in your mouth. Ambiance is great as well. Space congestion was the only issue

This restaurant is my favorite Sri Lankan in the south east of Melbourne. The menu is diverse with options for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan. The service is great with friendly and helpful staff.
