Dump bins full of loose non packaged marked $15 each. Multiples of the same shirts. Take one to the counter to purchase and am told it’s $35. Mention it’s from the $15 bin down the front. Staff member shrugs “Yeah nah, shouldn’t be there. It’s $35, sorry” I mention there are multiples of the same shirt in the bins, so they should probably take them out. “Yeah, customers must have put them all there. Happens all the time. We will do it later” As someone who shops at Zing all the time and has 20+ years retail experience this was utterly piss poor service. Left without purchasing anything. If I wanted to be spoken to like an idiot by pretentious kids, I would have shopped at JB Hi Fi.
Bad employees.. I was there to trade my games in and I recently moved to melb and they were adamant they wanted a victoria license. I gave them my nsw license and wouldnt accept it. I asked them if there were any other identification I could give them and they said I needed 100 points of identification. But usually 100 points doesn't discriminate against other state licenses??. I also brought up my proof of Address in Melbourne and was happy to provide any other but they were adamant they wanted a victoria license. Never had a problem with any other stores in victoria. Have been to eb for 15 years and never had a problem until today.
Cant keep a good employee to save their lifes... 4 managers leave in 6 months! Just casuals now and the rude lady manager. No point shopping here anymore. Lifeless staff who don't want to be there.Unorganised,dirty and misslabeled stock. No customer retention skill.
Fantastic store and if your lucky enough to get helped by George or Kate your in good hands. I had an issue with a Xbox controller and went in to try and get this resolved. I had a horrible experience with a temporary manager that was assisting the store and did absolutely nothing to help in any way as well as tried to tell me I didnt know what I was talking about. I lodged a complaint and what followed was an example of why I would give this place 5 starts. George called me the next day and displayed empathy and wanted to make it was resolved so that I left the store happy. He had already sorted out a replacement as well as displayed professionalism to understand what had occurred. I then went in to the store and then met Kate who then also knew what was going on and also displayed amazing empathy and professionalism. They had sorted the issue before I arrived and within 5 minutes I was done and out the door. I couldn't fault anything on how these 2 staff went above and beyond while a suposed manager that is supposed to assist thought it to be easier to argue every point and not help out the customer. Massive thanks to both George and Kate. Definitely recommend this store and they really help.
One stop for your gaming needs. They are currently running a sale on socks. It is $5 for a pair and buy one get one free, so it is a steal at the moment. I just went stocking up to replace sooner of mine.

Dishonest store. I bought a New PS5 recently and 2 months ago in late September I went to buy some games from them. Little did I know what was Wrong with the game disk I bought which was a resale. After I completed the game now, I discovered I cannot access any extra Downloadable DLC content in the game and found out this game was licensed in America and for Distribution in America only. No wonder. The Extra DLC content is restricted to the region where the game is licensed. I dunno why a Retail Game store in Australia is allowed to sell a game that is not licensed in Australia for Distribution in Australia. It's ridiculous tbh. It also goes against the rules of Sony Playstation because it emphasizes not to RESALE or put games for RENTAL. These people are literally breaking the Terms and Agreement with Sony Playstation.
I shopped on 17 Nov evening and am very impressed with Isabella’s customer service. She was extremely patient, informative and helpful!

The manager Kerri deceptively sold my 8year old a $28 packet of cards on the proviso they were lord of the rings collectors cards. It was only when he opened the packet that he discovered they weren’t Lord of the Ring but Commander cards which we haven’t even heard of. He had never brought Lord of the Rings cards so wasn’t really sure what the packets looked like. When we walked back in the store to inform her that sold us the wrong cards her response was oh well nothing I can do about it. Kerri, you essentially stole from an 8yo and then failed to take accountability for your actions. This is disgusting.
