Meet the business owners
Spiro Argyros is an expert in the seafood trade. If ever there’s a quiet moment, Spiro loves to reminisce about his younger days learning how to fillet fish. Don’t be surprised if he can do this with his eyes shut.
When Spiro isn’t entertaining his lovely customers at Eat Fish, you’ll find him operating another business venture, S&J Seafoods. This is one of Australia’s most highly regarded wholesalers, importers and exporters of fresh seafood. It’s also one of the largest suppliers of the Melbourne Seafood Centre, and has been so for the past 24 years. With all this experience in the trade, Spiro is a man you can trust to serve up some amazing fish.
The other half of Eat Fish, Anesti (Eddie) Totikidis, is just as talented. With over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry and having studied at William Angliss in Melbourne, Eddie is more than just a qualified chef; he’s a master of his trade. There is nothing ordinary about Eddie’s fish and chips. He maintains the fresh taste of locally caught fish and complements this with a light crispy finish.
Eddie is also an excellent businessman. He’s been in the game since 1997. Eddie has owned a number of reputable businesses, including Toti’s Bar and Restaurant, Fish Tank, Gourmet Blend, Café E’questa and Cluck Bar. Eddie will surely take care of you, making your seafood experience one to remember.
