Please be careful when using this app. I was under pressure to park and realised that the City of Melbourne had changed from Pay to Stay to Easy Park. Googled on my phone and filled out the account, then found the app to download. Within a few minutes, scammers took $1 out my account and sent an email from a different business saying another $80 would be taken out of my account that day. Quickly blocked my card. Tried to reach Easy Park to no avail. Two days later received a text saying the fee hadn't gone through, as now the card was blocked, called "customer service", so unhelpful, the person sounds like they are working out of a garage, argued with me as to the location I parked at, the parking app had the wrong location, no one to speak to. The customer service person told me that this has happened to a few people and I should have gone straight to the app. Would be nice to see a warning on the parking meters to make sure you don't get scammed. They also charge a service fee for each park, increasing the amount you spend. Would advise to be careful and avoid if possible.
Used Easy Park app to park while I took my mother to a medical appointment. Hadn't used the app in year's so the card on file had expired. Got an email a couple of days later asking me to update my card details - every box card number, expiry date AND CVC all come up with an incorrect number error. Contacted them via email and they refused to admit that there is something wrong with their app, just kept asking me to check that I'd entered the correct details as if I didn't double and triple check before contacting them . They also asked me to screen shot the error messages that come up after I'd entered my card details, as if I'd send anyone my card details in a photo.They finally deleted my old card details from the app today so I could enter the new card details and it STILL WONT WORK. I contacted them and told them that once they have actually looked at their app and website and fixed the problem, I would try for the 8th or 9th time, I'll add. I got a phone call from a very rude staff member who wanted to tell me that the parking fee had still not been paid obviously and then they wanted my card details over the phone and FINALLY after arguing with me said they will have a look at their app and then contact me. So exhausted after dealing with this company. What an absolute joke. I'd give zero stars if I could.
Pretty easy to see why they have such a bad Google rating. There own app cant determine if someone is using a phone set in NSW Daylight savings time and using it in Queensland. The App showed time paid for in NSW but cut off in QLD time so I got a fine for short paying by 1 Hour!!!!!!!!!! And their machines only take Coins in this day and age. They just want people to get fined. The whole App is directed towards making it easy to get fined. USER BEWARE.....
The app is confusing & they Catherine you 10% + parking so it’s a rip off but what can you do ! PayStay was 1000% better. Melbourne City Council made a monumental error!
nothing but ripping off, Better to Park@ Wilson for $ 9 /all day not $15.40 for 2 hours!!! The previous Pay Stay is far better and more efficient and friendly use. This is nothing but Scam!!
Super convenient app! Once you get the hang of it, it’s easy. What I love the most is I don’t have to go back to metre to extend my parking. I just extend through the app!
Pick another parking place. There’s plenty of them better than this place. They damaged my key and my engine light was on when I returned. Not sure what they did while in possession of my property but don’t make the same mistake I did of leaving yours with them.
We have been charged TWICE in one day for the same parking then a week later charged for when we weren't even parking!! No one answers the phone number that is if you manage to locate the number as its not on their website nor will it let me register an account with them it keeps saying mobile already used??? So now i wait for them to call me back that is the recorded voice that answered. I have NEVER put up a negative about any company despite sometimes feeling like it but this company is worth complaining about problem is we have no choice if we want to park using an app.
This app is the worst, in Australia anyway. When I search using the parking code, which is a 4 digit code, it only it offers me options for other countries with a 5 digit code, rather than the spot where I have parked. Searching by address and pin drop doesn't work either. It's so annoying. PayStay app is seamless and intuitive. I don't even know why we have EasyPay on the streets. PayStay and their 8 digit codes are the best and you stop and start at your leisure and it prompts you when your time is ending or to remind you that you are paying for parking. EasyPay is anything but easy. Get rid of it Melbourne
Pity that EasyPark does not identify actual street parking places. I received a $50 fine for choosing the incorrect company/institution for a parking space in Evans Street. Generally, EasyPark offers convenience, but ensure you have an up-to-date device for downloading the app.
