At the doctors getting a mini medical for my insurance for work and receptionist said I have to wear a mask and I said no I’m exempt and told her I dont have to show anything as that is the law and she told me to wait in the waiting room then after 15 minutes told me the doctor won’t see me because I won’t wear a mask. Ffs. I said to her I have an exemption from a doctor and you are telling me doctor won’t see me because I am going against the exemption I’m given by a doctor. How hypocritical is that. Obviously you people do not follow the Qld Govt laws. Will never go back there again
The Drs are very good, my Dr takes the time to sort me out and assess my needs. the reception staff are beautiful and hardworking, they do the best they can. keep up the good work
You can hardly get in to see the Drs not that they have many hardly any …. From what it used to be as Ambrose Medical to now is a real shame…. Latest my husband whose over 74yrs booked for his flu shot this morning only to get there and get told ‘Oh, you can’t have it we didn’t get any !!!!!!” Luckily the Dr we see is always available for us, but the pressure for lack of Drs and staff is making this practice a joke …. Having said that I cannot commend enough a front counter reception person, whose been there for years for her patience, courtesy and nice smile. I think she knows herself. Keep up the good work ‘S’
Since the Eastbrooke take over and moving from North Mackay to the city heart the practice seems to be more corporate and money focused. Gone is the family friendly feel. Was absolutely discusted when after being discharged from hospital on Christmas eve and given enough pain killers to last until 28th of December to find the practice closed until the 4th of January. There was a recorded message to ring Dial a Home Doctor, which I attempted to contact only to get a message stating the were not available and to go to the hospital. I have been using this practice for over 15 years but no more. I have found a fantastic doctor who is honestly interested in my health and is readily available.
Multiple mistakes made. No promises to fix the ones within their control. Condescending attitude when discussing THEIR mistake. Won't be going back.
I have been to Eastbrooke Medical on 3 occasions and found the staff to be very friendly. My doctor doesn't give me a medical certificate unless I am really ill and I am always well looked after whether I have to pay or if I'm bulk-billed. My sympathies to staff members who have to put up with abuse on a daily basis. You're doing a great job. Thank you very much.
I found the same as the other poster. Wasn't happy the first time i went there but at least the doctor change it to bulk billing. but on the second visit to another doctor at the same place. I advise him what was wrong and he siad what do you want me to do which was a strange question since he was the doctor. and he took some notes and i asked for a med cert just in case i didn't got to work the next day. He advised me that he would give me one for today to say that i have seen him. why would i need that i was at work on the day i saw him. So i turned into a stand off as i didn't think i shouldn't have pay for nothing. But in the end i did pay and will not make the mistake of going back,
Going to a medical centre can often be tough enough without wooden and icy staff who are paid to receive people who are effectively clients, yet effectively don't seem to care. Rude, hard faced, cold and abrasive and I was made to wait 30 minutes for the pleasure. The doctor similarly couldn't care less in his most awkward of ways. The only saving grace for this place was nurse Linda who was an absolute champion. Thanks Linda for being friendly, helpful and efficient. The rest of the staff could learn a thing or 2 from you .
The staff and Doctors are always caring and willing to help me in any way they can. Highly recommend them for their service, care and professionalism.
